UPDATE: Chris Ostroushko says that the backlash his family has been receiving for their actions last weekend has been “overwhelming” and “nonstop” He’s now “second guessing” living in the United States, because he’s unhappy with how negatively the public has reacted to him assaulting a woman on camera. He is in complete disbelief, stating that, "I've never had anything like this happen in my life". Chris and Deyanna have been going on a press tour continuing to assert that they are the real victims, despite millions watching the footage of them instigating everything. There is also a GoFundMe for them, where they are currently trying to raise $8k, stating that they’ve lost their jobs and, “are facing one of the most overwhelming and life-altering moments they have ever experienced”. Meanwhile, businesses who were paying tariffs passed on high costs to consumers. This led to more households facing high inflation, even though the official number is around 3%. Trump said these collected tariffs will be used to give a $1,200 dividend to every US household to make their finances better. In Q1, the Supreme Court deemed that US tariffs are illegal and they should be returned. Now, the US government is opening a claim portal to refund $166 billion in tariffs. And guess who's getting all these refunds? The businesses who passed all their costs to consumers. So, the business passed all the tariff costs, and now they are the ones getting the refunds too. Meanwhile, US consumers faced high inflation, and now they'll get absolutely NOTHING.

let me make sure i’m understanding this correctly the supreme court is refunding all tariff money back to corporations. the same corporations that didn’t pay a single cent of those tariffs to begin with. they passed every dollar directly to you through higher prices on everything you buy you went to the store and paid more for groceries. you paid more for clothes. for car parts. for literally everything. that money came out of YOUR pocket not theirs and now the refund goes to THEM? the corporations who used the tariffs as an excuse to raise prices even higher than the tariff itself and pocket the difference the american people funded the tariffs. the corporations profited off the tariffs. and now the corporations get a refund on money they never spent in the first place and nobody in washington thinks the people who actually paid should get the money back. not a single person has even suggested it guess we are never getting our DOGE checks either this country does not work for you. it works for them. it’s a joke and they’re not even pretending anymore
