Elon Musk’s clash with South African officials has intensified following a public dispute over regulatory compliance. Authorities insist that Starlink must meet local ownership requirements before securing a license. Namibia has mirrored South Africa’s stance, rejecting the company’s application on similar grounds. Despite the setback, consumer demand for Starlink remains strong across the region.

@MphahleleMM In his country KKK is still hanging black people by the trees, there are areas where black people are not allowed at night for they will be hanged or shot and police can't protect them, don't dare lecture us about a struggle song that does not harm anyone.

🚨 WILL YOU RETURN IT? BREAKING: Man Refuses to Return R2.5 Million Sent to His Account by Mistake! 💰 A man at the centre of a shocking case is accused of receiving R2.5 million that was mistakenly deposited into his bank account — and quickly moving it to another account before a reversal could be completed. Police say they struggled to locate him for some time, as he allegedly went into hiding. Authorities now believe the full amount may still be intact and are demanding that he return the remaining balance. But here’s where it gets controversial… 👇 During court proceedings, the man reportedly told the Chief Justice that he will NOT return the money, arguing that he did nothing wrong. 🗣️ “I didn’t make the mistake — those who sent the money should be held responsible,” he allegedly said. Even more shocking, it’s claimed he stated he would rather risk losing the money altogether than give it back voluntarily. --- 💬 What do YOU think? Should he be forced to return the money, or is he right? 👍 YES – He must return it 😡 NO – Not his fault #BreakingNews #SouthAfrica

‘Very Difficult for Corporations to Surrender 30% Ownership’—US Ambassador Criticizes South Africa's 30% Black Ownership Rule Saying It's Blocking Billions in Investment US Ambassador to South Africa L. Brent Bozell III has said the United States wants to invest billions in the country but faces a major hurdle with policies requiring businesses to surrender 30% ownership to black South Africans. He raised the issue when he was speaking to journalists in Pretoria while acknowledging the nation's history of inequality. Bozell spoke at a business event in Hermanus. He stated that the United States is ready to pour money into investments, with both the private sector and government involved. "It's very difficult for...a major corporation to come here and be told it has to surrender 30% of its ownership, or some such thing," he said. He added that corporations have a moral duty to invest in South Africa's future beyond capital. In response to a journalist's question about respecting South Africa's sovereignty and laws, Bozell replied that the United States does not question South Africa's right to set its own policies. However, he noted that America will speak up when policies affect its national interests or security concerns. Bozell stressed that the primary issue is respect for private property rights. He recognized South Africa's emergence from an unequal system but maintained that forced ownership transfers create barriers to large-scale investment from US companies. The comments highlight ongoing tensions in bilateral relations.
