A 12-year-old girl walked into a deli in Staten Island, New York, clutching her report card. She was nervous. Not about the grade — she'd worked hard for that — but about whether anyone would notice. That exchange — grades in, reward out — has become a ritual at Wail's deli. Life is hard. They deserve to feel that." Word spread the way only real things do — not through ads or press releases, but through kids telling other kids, and parents showing up with tears in their eyes just to shake his hand. Online donations poured in. Strangers who had never set foot in Staten Island sent money to keep the program alive. To date, over $54,000 has been raised. Every single dollar goes back to the kids. Wail isn't trying to be famous. He's not running a charity campaign or building a brand. He runs a deli. He just decided, one day, that a report card was worth more than a transaction. In a world full of noise, a quiet man in Staten Island is changing one grade at a time — and reminding us that sometimes, the most extraordinary people are the ones standing right behind the counter. 💚

On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the brave men and women in uniform who gave their lives for this country that we love. It is a debt we can never fully repay, but we must never stop trying. I’ll always be grateful to our fallen heroes and their families, whose sacrifice reminds us of what it means to live for something greater than ourselves.

Anyone ever have a tooth extraction? This is my first and with the Novacaine worn off it hurts like crazy. I'm hoping it subsides but it's really messing me up in so many ways. I'm doing the Tylenol/Motrin combo as well as the antibiotic they've given me.

@TomKMorris @gueudredesign I remember working in the model shop one day, when this young guy carrying what looked like the Mouse Trap Game..but it was design, apart of his resume. Tony was getting a tour of WED, before he was hired. ;- )

@gueudredesign Ed was introduced to Tony first by me, and then later by Gary Goddard. Bruce must’ve intervened at just the right time. I also introduced Tony to Bruce when we were both working on Journey into Imagination at Epcot.

What about Eddie Sotto? He's the only one who wasn't at WDI, but he caught Tony Baxter's attention (thanks to Bruce Gordon) with his Steampunk work for Six Flags Baltimore and was asked if he wanted to work on Discoveryland. He couldn't say no, but ended up working on MSUSA
