We mapped gene interactions across different environmental conditions (GxGxE) at scale for the first time in human cells. These maps lead to the realization that many genes function in a context dependent manner which provides insight into how humans have relatively few genes but many cell types. Congratulations Ben! 🎉 New year, new paper! Alfred, my first PhD student, just published his very first paper - and it’s featured on the cover of the first issue of @OrgBiomolChem this year! 🥳 pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art… A thread 🧵 about what Alfred did and what the paper is all about 👇 1/🧵

I’m very excited to finally present something we’ve been working on for the past couple of years – a spatial proteome map of primary cilia, released in @ProteinAtlas today. Amazing teamwork led by @jn_hansen Check out our preprint doi.org/10.1101/2024.1…

Ever wonder why genetically identical cells respond so differently to treatments?New study reveals nearly 40% of metabolic enzymes vary b/w cells, reshaping our understanding of resistance and treatment strategies. Congrats @ChristianGnann @AnthonyCesnik @Prof_Lundberg & team!1/2

Why can RNA only be linear or circular? It can be branched! We made multi-tailed mRNA, and we had fun! Here is our story led by brilliant graduate student @HongyuChenChem: rdcu.be/dB7ck and his cartoon illustration👇@ChemistryMIT @broadinstitute

Thrilled to see our work on chemically and topologically engineered mRNA online! Using a chemo-enzymatic approach, we introduced multiple end-modified polyA tails on a single mRNA to boost its stability and translatability overtime. nature.com/articles/s4158…

A dream of our lab has been to image the full central dogma from a single endogenous gene, all live and with single molecule resolution. After many years we are happy to unveil a beautiful cell line that makes it possible. Check out our preprint (biorxiv.org/content/10.110…)! (1/n)
