@TheEconomist The world image has been tarnished by a feckless response to Islamist savagery. Israel showed themselves as a beacon of hope for the world.

Donald Trump Jr is a paid strategic advisor for Kalshi, and a major investor and advisor for Polymarket. The Trump administration is using taxpayer money to sue to protect their family’s investments. This is what corruption looks like.

we are starting another “special military operation.” cuba is no threat to the us, we have terrorized them for decades for fighting and winning sovereignty for their people.

Marco Rubio: "Cuba not only has weapons they've acquired from Russia and China, but they also host Russian and Chinese intelligence presence in their country. So Cuba has always posed a national security threat to the US. They're a leading state sponsor of terror."

@Dispropoganda Not really. That figure involves appreciating wealth assets, not income. We don't calculate tax rate for anyone like that.

@Gwydion_Wolf @Dispropoganda the top 5% of income earners also account for more than 65-70% of the wealth so they should account for more than 60% of the taxes. Probably more like 80-90% of the taxes because they'd still be fine after getting taxed that much.

@Dispropoganda You're a dirty communist liar. Income and wealth are not the same thing. You are either too retarded to know that, or you are retarded and a liar. Which one?

Lol the top 1% in the US hold ~32% of all wealth while the bottom 50% hold 2.5%. Leaving that out as if it's not pertinent is a little dishonest. Labor is taxed at a significantly higher rate than capital gains, and this isn't even bringing up write offs.
Jeff Bezos@JeffBezos

Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.

This is so corrupt that the lawyers who crafted this should be disbarred & removed, the acting AG who signed it should be disbarred & removed, and the president who orchestrated it all should be impeached & removed & finally at long last made irrelevant. Staggering corruption
PBS News@NewsHour

The U.S. government has agreed to drop any tax claims and audits of President Trump, his sons and the Trump organization, according to a letter signed by acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. It comes a day after the government announced a nearly $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund” to compensate some of the president’s allies. @AliRogin has the latest.
