⚡️Heli crash victim Smt. Nambiamma who was referred to GB Pant Hospital has succumbed to her injuries. She is said to have ingested seawater during the crash in Mayabunder Why she was not shifted by helicopter along with the two other patients also remains a serious concern.

INCIDENT REPORT Ditching of Pawan Hans Helicopter VT-PHY today February 24, 2026 Location: Shallow sea waters, approximately 300 meters short of Maya Bunder helipad, North and Middle Andaman Islands, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India The aircraft was an Aérospatiale AS 365N3 Dauphin (Eurocopter Dauphin) WHAT HAPPENED? The helicopter was on approach to Maya Bunder helipad when it experienced an issue leading to a controlled or forced ditching in shallow seawater about 300 meters short of the destination. The aircraft came to rest in the water without flipping or sinking immediately. INJURIES AND CASUALTIES None reported. All 7 occupants (5 passengers and 2 crew) were safely retrieved from the helicopter with no injuries mentioned in initial reports. They were subsequently taken to a local hospital for medical checks.Immediate
