Delhi Police say - "A case has been registered at PS Malviya Nagar under sections 79/351(2)/3(5)/196 of BNS against Harsh Singh and his wife Ruby Jain, residents of Malviya Nagar, in connection with an incident of alleged racial abuse and criminal intimidation. On 20.02.2026 at about 3:30 PM, three women residing as tenants within the jurisdiction of PS Malviya Nagar were getting electrical installation work carried out in their rented premises. During the process, some dust allegedly fell into the premises of the accused residing below. It is alleged that following this, the accused persons verbally abused the complainants and made derogatory and racial remarks targeting them as women belonging to the North-Eastern region. The complainants have further alleged that objectionable language was used, their modesty was insulted, and they were criminally intimidated. No physical injuries were reported; however, mental harassment and humiliation have been alleged. The case has been registered and investigation is in progress. Further legal action will be taken as per law."
