This is nuts! While Pakistan is leading ceasefire talks, their defense minister is spewing vile rhetoric targeting Jews and Israel.   Hateful rhetoric like this is beyond unacceptable and unproductive at this fragile moment. This is not diplomacy and must be condemned.

Israel is evil and a curse for humanity, while peace talks are underway in Islamabad, genocide is being committed in Lebanon. Innocent citizens are being killed by Israel, first Gaza, then Iran and now Lebanon, bloodletting continues unabated. I hope and pray people who created this cancerous state on Palestinian land to get rid of European jews burn in hell.

While few in India may openly acknowledge it — or agree —. Operation Sindoor has arguably been the country’s biggest strategic mistake in decades. The fallout from that ill-advised misadventure has left India increasingly isolated, with no nation it can confidently count as a true friend on the global stage. At the same time, it breathed new life into the Pakistani military and government, which were both unpopular at the time and facing growing domestic discontent and protests. That four-day conflict — during which much went wrong for India — proved to be a turning point, changing the trajectory of regional geopolitics entirely. Modi’s ill-timed visit to Israel, coupled with his open support for that genocidal regime just days before the US–Israel launched a war against Iran, appears to be yet another consequential misstep, reinforcing perceptions of strategic miscalculation.

@lsob_ @schitcoin We don’t need to convince Pakistanis bro - they even believe 1965 and 1971 were victories. For 1971 they say - “we won on the western side”. India does need to improve its penetration and influence over influential media orgs though. We have been lax.

@manassarov @schitcoin Indian strikes on May 10 attack the PAF bases failed to ground PAF or take out a single HAV on ground. They barely scratched. The only tactical point which India gained was at Bohlari base where they damaged an AWAC. Also get better air defences for Indian military next time.

Recent deliveries included 1,000 tonnes to Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, 1,000 tonnes to Malawi 🇲🇼, and 500 tonnes along with relief supplies to flood-hit Mozambique 🇲🇿. That means nothing. Everywhere in the world, from the villages outside Sadiqabad in South Punjab to Benton, Illinois, people care about the price of gas and the state of the economy. Your country is not special for being poor or preoccupied with roti, kapra, aur makaan. But national achievements- such as the construction of monuments, diplomatic successes, World Cup qualification, landing on the moon, or contributing to solutions for global problems- serve to boost national morale. They raise the self-esteem of ordinary citizens, who may feel individually incapable of acts of greatness, and thereby make the country’s leader appear more capable and admirable at home. Standards of what constitutes admirable behaviour may differ from country to country, but Modi, Obama, and Putin all share this aim, and their subjects are no different. This is what explains the jealousy-driven online meltdown over what is, frankly, a footnote in the eventual pages of 21st-century history.

@schitcoin @pale_daffodils You may get that impression from shrill media houses and I don’t fault you for reaching that conclusion. But most folks care about the price of gas and impact on the economy more. The news channels are largely entertainment.

@schitcoin There has not been any meltdown or emotional statement from the ruling BJP government. They have been very disciplined with communication. The opposition is trying to hype up the role of Pakistan as a cudgel to use against the BJP. Most Indians aren’t buying that.
