Trump's Night of the Long Knives is just getting started. The Atlantic reports, citing sources familiar with White House planning, that discussions are underway about the possible departure of FBI Director Kash Patel, Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer from the Trump administration.

@KristinNap95 @KlonnyPin_Gosch At the end of the day a general's purpose is to win. Those at the top play politics, but the smart ones know they do need to win, even if they're in this for themselves. But the corruption has set in, and you do get some without any scruples at all. They're in charge now.

@KlonnyPin_Gosch Why is it that people always assume that these generals are completely above board? That they can do no evil? We elected Trump to do a job. If these generals are too political to follow the orders of their CIC, then they should be fired. They work for US!

Breaking: Gin-soaked, axe throwing Fox News rapist fires Army Chief of Staff to clear the way for a loyalist who will “yes man” a ground invasion in Iran in latest hubristic blunder of the Trump admin This is a truly catastrophic indicator
CBS News@CBSNews

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has asked Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George to step down and take immediate retirement, sources familiar with the decision told CBS News. One of the sources said Hegseth wants someone in the role who will implement President Trump and Hegseth's vision for the Army.

@KlonnyPin_Gosch My favorite part of every horror film is when they reject the wisdom of the Harbinger. Now it's happening IRL like a theme park which is exciting, but instead of a movie it's my family.

@mangoduck321 @araghchi didnt say they used it for a prohibited purpose. Also the bridge wasnt publicly used yet so soon to be completed wouldve allowed them to move missile launchers west of tehran.

Striking civilian structures, including unfinished bridges, will not compel Iranians to surrender. It only conveys the defeat and moral collapse of an enemy in disarray. Every bridge and building will be built back stronger. What will never recover: damage to America's standing.

Israel's goal in this war is to ensure that Iran becomes a failed state. Complete state collapse. Since Trump has no plan of his own, by default he is following Israel's lead. Hence Trump's comments about bombing Iran back to the stone age...

Pasteur Institute of Iran, a 105-year-old medical research center founded in partnership between the Imperial State of Iran and the Paris-based Institut Pasteur, has been destroyed in airstrikes by the United States and the Israeli regime. Horrifying scenes from Tehran

@DeItaone While the opposing side continues military aggression throughout the region, the Iranians haven't a partner with whom to treat. A temporary local ceasefire would be encouragement and aid for the aggression in Lebanon and eventually a return to hostilities on themselves

Yesterday Trump said that if the Strait was not immediately opened he would blow up everything in Iran. Today he claims he is leaving, and someone else can worry about the Strait. Is this guy nuts or what?

🇦🇪 U.A.E. Wants to Force Hormuz Open and Is Willing to Join the Fight WSJ: The UAE is preparing to join military operations to force open the Strait of Hormuz and is lobbying for a UN Security Council resolution to authorize it, which would make it the first Gulf state to formally enter the war as a combatant. Emirati diplomats are urging the US and military powers in Europe and Asia to form a coalition. The UAE has also called on the US to seize Iranian-held islands in the strait, including Abu Musa — claimed by the UAE for half a century. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states now want the war to continue until Iran is disabled or toppled, though they have stopped short of committing their militaries. Iran's response has been immediate. Nearly 50 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones struck the UAE on Tuesday alone. Tehran has warned it will destroy the vital civilian infrastructure of any Gulf state that supports operations against its territory. One US congressman put it plainly: "I don't think we can do it. All Iran has to do is keep the strait under threat — one drone, one mine, one small suicide boat."

Not at all. Iran promised Russia contracts to build 25 more nuclear power plants, Russia has received contracts for ZERO. Iran promised Russia, Russia's 300-year dream of a warm water port in Iran, running a rail line through Iran so Russia could export crude, NG, fertilizer & wheat to the Global South. There is zero miles of rail. Iran promised Russia large military contracts, especially air defense, Iran reverse engineered Russia's S-300. For 20-years China has invested billions into Iran's oil fields only to be able to import less oil every year. Iran's just not a good place to do business.

This is how Iran will manage the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Parliament's National Security Committee. Key points: - Enhanced security measures. - Vessel safety protocols. - Financial and fee regulations. - NO passage for US and Israeli ships. - Collaboration with Oman on drafting the legal framework. - No access for countries enforcing unilateral sanctions on Iran. If China gives the go ahead, THIS IS IT. No matter how Washington vociferates.

@rodcoffman @VanessaBeeley @RealPepeEscobar You mean monetarily, during the time when the West illegally manipulated that field against them. And now the US is incapable of catastrophic war against China. Looks like an insanely record breaking returns from patient and principled investment.
