BIG NEWS DIGITAL "INSTIGATORS" UNDER DELHI POLICE SCANNER Delhi Police's probe into the Jantar Mantar violence is widening. Several prominent influencers and YouTubers are now under the scanner. Three digital marketing/social media firms are also being scrutinised. Investigators are examining posts, videos and livestreams for alleged inflammatory content, misinformation, rumour-mongering and possible incitement to violence. After earlier flagging nearly 180 social media handles, legal action could be the next step.

Air Marshal A.K. Bharti, the IAF’s Director General Air Operations during Operation Sindoor and one of its most recognisable public faces since, has retired on reaching the age of superannuation. He was also awarded the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal. A graduate of the 70th NDA Course and the 139th Pilot Course, he was commissioned as a fighter pilot on 13 June 1987. A Fighter Combat Leader and Defence Services Staff College graduate, he served as Flight Commander of a Su-30 squadron before taking command of No. 30 Squadron in August 2005. This was a formative period for the Su-30MKI fleet, and he oversaw the operationalisation of the Phase III aircraft’s weapon systems and the development of tactics to exploit its expanding capabilities. During his tenure, the squadron participated in Exercise Gagan Shakti, Indradhanush 2006 with the Royal Air Force and Garuda 2007 with the French Air Force. He was awarded the Vayu Sena Medal for this command. He later commanded 2 Wing at Pune and held senior operational appointments at Air Headquarters, Strategic Forces Command and Eastern Air Command. He went on to serve as the senior air operations officer at Central Air Command, Director General Air Operations during Operation Sindoor and, finally, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff. A distinguished career that culminated at the heart of one of the IAF’s most consequential operations in recent years.
