Taking a moment to appreciate @Finnair for a wonderful journey from YYZ to DEL via HEL this week. Contrary to some reviews, I found the AirLounge seats quite comfortable and, of course, they look amazing. Beautiful service too, thanks to the lovely crew.

Is it only me who has experienced a change in @airindia. Again on travel from Delhi to Hyderabad landed 20 minutes early, clean aircraft, adequate leg space, efficient cabin crew, ground staff, good food, hot tea, all in a cost highly competitive. Enjoyed. Hope they continue to improve and be Maharaja of Air flying.

Flew Air India to London and loved the experience. Everyone talks about the aircraft. I'd like to talk about the people. Warm, caring and attentive - the kind of hospitality that has always made the Maharaja special. The new fleet is on its way & with service like this already in place, the Maharaja is well on his way to topping the very best in the world. Aircraft can be upgraded. Hospitality is built over generations. The @airindia Maharaja Club has been officially announced open today, and it’s perhaps one of the better lounges in @flySFO now. No dull cheese and soup, but spiced up hot food with a tonne of airplane views. Also open to @staralliance member elites.

There is so much recent negativity about @airindia that I want to put this out. I have taken 3 flights on @airindia in the last three days. On Wednesday:Rome to Del On Thursday: Del to Bom On Friday: Bom to Del In every single case the flight was on time. The inflight service was warm & efficient. Luggage came relatively quickly (quickest in Del) The check in was entirely painless I don’t think frequent travellers care as much as others about airline food but if you think that’s important then I had a very good dinner on Rome to Del. On the international sector I flew one of the older Dreamliners & I am not one of those aeroplane nerds but I thought it was very comfortable. It’s second nature for many of us to bitch about @airindia but it’s one of only two international airlines I fly regularly. The other is @emirates which admittedly is far better ( & far more expensive) but it is the best airline in the world so it’s better than every other carrier anyway. The Tatas need to hold their nerve. There is a lot that is good about @airindia that rarely gets acknowledged @TataCompanies

Experienced the ‘new car feeling’ in a retrofitted airplane today…Safe to say, I spent more time looking around the cabin than out the window. 😃 Thanks to the @airindia crew for a lovely morning.
