1/8 Today, we introduce CTR, the coordination asset for the Bitcoin economy. Over the past two years, we built an end-to-end Bitcoin economy that relies on the Bitcoin Network as its source of truth. With CTR, we're handing control of this economy to the people who use it.

Today many bitcoiners are all still on Twitter. We pay Elon for reach. Our posts are not even signed with our own keys. This is complete trust in a third party. I don't think Nostr is the solution for a Global Town Square. If you disagree say why. But does anyone care?

The cleanest way to “freeze” quantum-insecure coins is just to sunset *all P2PK UTXOs at a defined block height.* Give Satoshi and anyone else, say, 3-5 years to move them. If they haven’t moved to quantum resilient addresses by then, they are assumed to have been lost or forfeited by their owners. Nothing wrong with sunsetting old network components that present vulnerabilities. This gets rid of the “confiscation” language. It’s a technical bug fix/security upgrade.

@MicahZoltu @samczsun Centralized DNS always ends up in that exact spot — either scam-friendly or easily captured. Built PKDNS so addresses come straight from your key and live on the BitTorrent Mainline DHT with zero registrar or authority in the loop. noregistry.com Open to feedback

@samczsun Seriously: I want to live in a world where DNS records are censorship resistant and anonymous (like ENS, but more censorship resistant). Anyone that provides that is likely to be chosen by scammers to, but I still want to live in a world where those businesses are successful.

@shitcoinmaster_ @Filecoin Yeah, that IPFS slowdown for live identity resolution is exactly the kind of thing that kills the flow. We went a different route using cryptographic keys published directly to the existing BitTorrent DHT for the DNS layer. noregistry.com - open to feedback

@Filecoin genuine question - how does discovery latency work for agents that need to resolve identity in real-time? IPFS retrieval can be slow. is there a hot cache layer or are you expecting agents to pre-fetch and pin metadata locally?

AI agents need infrastructure that doesn't have a platform in the middle. Filecoin stores agent identity and metadata in a verifiable, decentralized way, so discovery works regardless of which platforms are still running or who controls access to them.

DNS has a kill switch. Every domain you've ever used can be seized by whoever controls the registrar. PKDNS fixes this. Your address is your public key. No registrar. No authority. Nothing to seize. noregistry.com 👈 Try it @getpubky @Synonym_to

BREAKING NEWS: Helping Cancer patients is now ILLEGAL in Canada, as Alberta Premier Danielle Smith punishes over 9000 Cancer patients for exercising their "Right to Try" with Ivermectin My Cancer work in Canada is officially done. I'm moving to Florida and will work there. 🙏 Helping Cancer patients is now illegal in Canada. Health Coaching of Cancer patients is now illegal. Naturopathy is now illegal. Using Ivermectin and repurposed drugs is now illegal. Doing podcasts and videos on Health is now illegal. All punishable by up to 2 years imprisonment. Canadians have no idea what has just transpired and what Canada has recently turned into. The actions of Canadian authorities (pictured below, including far left extremist woke bureaucrats of the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons) amount to attempted murder of Cancer patients who wanted cutting edge options for their disease. Canadians, your options are all GONE. Please STOP asking me for help at this point. You could have and should have stopped the Canadian authorities from doing any of this. There were plenty of opportunities to do so. Now it's too late. Of course, Premier Danielle Smith's Alberta government can stop cancer patients from being harmed and reverse all of these actions within 24 hours. But they won't. They intend to kill every last Cancer patient instead. We are documenting these deaths as they happen. I've done all I could here, in Canada. I've gone above and beyond. When my Florida Cancer Clinic opens, look for me then. It will be BUSY💪 Good luck everyone! God bless 🙏

Pancreatic cancer has a 12% five-year survival rate. Most of that is because by the time we find it, the disease is advanced and the immune system has been overwhelmed. This Penn Medicine study just showed that targeting KRAS mutations in precancerous lesions, before a tumor even forms, nearly doubled survival in mice. We've been targeting KRAS at Williams Cancer Institute and have a phase two study running in the US right now. The principle is the same one I've been advocating for years: treat at the earliest possible moment. Don't wait for the cancer to become a crisis. Intercept it.

@brian_armstrong how is this in Coinbase' customers best interest? Why not go on the pod and show receipts?
TFTC@TFTC21

Folks, we told you this was coming, and today the mask is fully off. A couple weeks back we reported, based on solid sources, that Coinbase was quietly lobbying to kill a real de minimis tax exemption for Bitcoin while pushing one that applied only to stablecoins like USDC. We laid out the clear incentives in our deep dive. Coinbase made 1.35 billion dollars in stablecoin revenue last year, up 48 percent year over year, almost entirely from yield on the Treasuries backing USDC. A proper Bitcoin de minimis would let people spend sats on everyday purchases without triggering taxable events on every transaction. That directly competes with their centralized yield machine. We called it what it was. Policy that protects Coinbase’s float rather than advancing neutral Bitcoin adoption. Brian Armstrong pushed back hard. He called our reporting totally false and misinformation while insisting he was personally lobbying for Bitcoin de minimis. Some accused us of lying or spreading rumors. We stood firm. We offered to have Brian on the TFTC podcast to clear the air. We waited. Now the latest draft from Reps. Horsford and Max Miller on the updated PARITY Act framework has dropped. It confirms exactly what we warned about. It gives a de minimis exemption to stablecoins but leaves Bitcoin out entirely. It keeps the punishing double taxation on Bitcoin mining fully intact while carving out relief for passive validation, basically staking. This is not an oversight or sloppy drafting. It abandons any pretense of technology neutrality and deliberately picks winners. Dollar-pegged stables and staking get the breaks, while actual Bitcoin usage as money and Proof-of-Work mining get kneecapped. Without de minimis for Bitcoin, every small Lightning payment or sat transaction still forces cost-basis tracking and IRS headaches. Paying your plumber in sats or grabbing lunch with Bitcoin remains a taxable event. Stablecoins, being pegged and low-volatility, get an exemption they barely need. The real beneficiary is protecting that massive USDC reserve float and the yield it generates. Meanwhile, American Bitcoin miners, already operating in one of the toughest, most capital- and energy-intensive industries, face continued double taxation while staking gets a pass. That is not neutral policy. It is industrial policy against domestic Bitcoin mining at a time when we should be leaning into energy abundance and securing the hardest monetary network. The Bitcoin Policy Institute is releasing a full statement soon, and we fully back the call for strong community pushback. Every Bitcoiner needs to contact their reps and make it politically radioactive to sideline Bitcoin while handing carve-outs to stables and staking. This language slows real adoption, entrenches custodians, and weakens American Bitcoin infrastructure. We weren’t lying. Our sources weren’t lying. The draft proves the reporting was on target. Those who rushed to call it misinformation owe the community some honest reflection. Brian, if you’re still open to that conversation, the invitation stands. Come on the podcast. No spin, just walk us through how this draft lines up with your stated support for Bitcoin de minimis. The mic is warm. This fight isn’t over. Bitcoin doesn’t need permission, but bad policy can delay sovereign adoption and punish the miners securing the network. We’re here to protect the protocol and the right of individuals to use sound money without turning every transaction into a compliance nightmare. Stay sovereign. Stack sats. Use Bitcoin as money anyway. Call your reps today.

you were promised flying cars. instead you got $200 oil and climate lockdowns here's what nobody is connecting for normieland the strait of hormuz has been closed for three weeks. 21 merchant ships attacked. tanker traffic down 97%. this is the most significant chokepoint disruption in 80 years but oil is just the headline. oil is a derivative of everything you touch. every product in your house. every pill in your cabinet. every piece of food on your plate let's start with what's going to hit first fertilizer. 46% of the world's urea supply comes from the gulf. a million metric tons are physically stranded right now. prices up 40% in three weeks. there is no pipeline bypass for fertilizer. no workaround. the stuff is just stuck this is happening during the spring planting window. right now. mid-february through may. midwest farmers are staring at fields they may not be able to afford to plant. the american farm bureau is begging the administration to act if farmers skip fertilizer or switch crops, yields drop. food gets scarce. prices spike. not in six months. this fall and it's not just us. brazil imports half its fertilizer through hormuz. india depends on it for monsoon planting. in 2022 sri lanka banned synthetic fertilizer. their agriculture collapsed. then their government collapsed. the president fled the country now your medicine cabinet. 47% of US generic prescriptions come from india. india gets 40% of its crude through hormuz. that crude feeds the petrochemical inputs to make your diabetes meds, blood pressure pills, and antibiotics. experts say pharmacy shortages start in 4-6 weeks if this doesn't resolve plastics. 85% of middle east polyethylene exports go through hormuz. asian petrochemical plants get 70-80% of their naphtha from the gulf. producers in singapore, indonesia, and south korea have declared force majeure. they can't make the stuff. that's your packaging, your car parts, your medical devices qatar suspended LNG production. helium supply is choking off. that's your MRI machines and semiconductor fabs the IEA released 400 million barrels from emergency reserves. that's a bandaid on a bullet wound the entire global economy was built on the assumption that a 21-mile wide strait between iran and oman would always be open. that your fertilizer would always flow. that the chemicals for your medicine would always arrive. that the feedstock for your food supply would never stop that all just went out the window the people who feel this worst won't be arguing about it on twitter. they'll be in sub-saharan africa, south asia, and the developing world where food inflation doesn't mean paying $8 for eggs it means not eating this chart isn't about oil prices. it's about how fragile everything is when civilization depends on a handful of chokepoints to function and we're three weeks in
