@truffle Ha, at least it didn't recreate each file line by line.

I asked sonnet 5 to move a folder for me, 15 minutes and 120k tokens later it had moved each file one by one

Grok 4.5 is excellent for real-world work
rahul@rahulgs

Grok 4.5 is #1 at processing real-world invoices At Ramp, we tested models on 150k bills submitted by actual businesses, scoring them on whether they predicted every correction a human would make Grok achieved the highest perfect-extraction rate, beating similarly priced models Gemini Flash 3.6, GPT 5.6 Terra, and Sonnet 5. This is a demanding long-context reasoning task. The model must infer patterns across 100K+ tokens of prior invoices, business memories, and human corrections, then apply them to new bills. The goal: zero-click accounts payable, with invoices processed correctly without human intervention.

Hello. We have reached 8M active users across Codex and ChatGPT Work. We are once again resetting the usage limits for all. And we continue to not have the 5h rate limit as well, allowing everyone to explore the boundaries of GPT-5.6 Sol and discover how ambitious you can be. See you tomorrow for more updates on our growth!
Sam Altman@sama

5.6 sol growth is insane. the inference team has done heroic work to be able to support demand. we are going to move mountains to continue to scale, but it is possible there are some hiccups soon.

Codex took my Google Sign-In + Search Console OAuth integration from audit to production—Cloud setup, security, staging, disclosures, testing, verification, and even the demo video. It’s installed and working. Incredible work from @thsottiaux and the @OpenAI team! 🚀

@kimmonismus Lol, I went back to 5.5 to be able to finish work, 5.6 is good but very expensive it's unrealistic and it makes it unusable even though it's good

Seriously, this has to stop. I've now set GPT-5.6 from high to medium (not fast mode, of course), and I'm still burning through my rates at an insane rate. My 5 hours are almost gone -again. I've already used up all three resets. OpenAI needs to work on its efficiency. This is the biggest bottleneck.

gpt 5.6 is honestly making the $200 pro plan harder to justify… when 5.5 never made me think about usage.. now you’ve got sol, terra, and luna, all with different limits and usage costs… so Instead of just picking the best model for the job, you’re constantly trying to make your quota last… basically the models got better, but the overall experience somehow feels worse… am I the only one thinking this?

GPT 5.6 early read > sol is the heavy hitter, but the usage burn is brutal > terra looks like the surprise winner so far > luna feels like the fast model people will actually use all day > the biggest upgrade is bug hunting / review > 5.6 is catching issues 5.5 X-High missed > repo-wide changes look much more confident > frontend taste still seems inconsistent > ultra sounds powerful, but not practical for casual use > best workflow: Sol for judgment, Terra/Luna for execution not ready to call it fable level, but this is clearly the first OpenAI drop in a while that feels like a real jump.

@haydenbleasel I would love to but apparently I should have subscribed to cursor to get access instead of the two codex 20x pro plans I have.
