Dear baseball tournament directors, for extra innings, put a guy on 2nd to make it easier to score and end game-cool. Start with one out to make it harder to score-not my choice but ok. But do both, why? If so, just play regular rules. Is it just me? @BluebookBeede

Midwest athletes should be careful when grading or comparing themselves on the same curve as athletes in Texas or Southern California. In Missouri, athletes are training and competing their hearts out despite dopamine deficient conditions. It's May, and we have yet to have a day that has been anywhere near 75° and sunny. Many tracks are constructed north & south. It's very rare that our kids get a warm front, aka "Southern Wind" in our favor. So many sprinters are forced to run much of the season into a headwind. In spite of our challenges...our kids and coaches continue to be resilient; often being expected to turn toilet water into lemonade. But we make it happen. This tweet is nothing more than a random shout out to all the athletes and coaches in the Midwest. Keep running fast, jumping/throwing far, and reaching new heights. The sun will come out tomorrow (we hope). We got this!

@CBS58 Very dangerous on that stretch, esp if crossing the street. No consideration by drivers for their fellow citizens. It’s hard to force ppl to be considerate. The only solution at this point is to write tickets and prosecute reckless drivers

No coincidence that the two teams that lead baseball in the least amount of chase are in the World Series. What % of your swing reps involve a no swing decision( T’s,front toss, coach BP, machine BP all the same pitch & location)? If you expect to be good taking balls & swinging at strikes you have to spend a % of your practice time on it. Challenge your eyes & your CNS.

As a kid I struggled with nerves before a lot of matches. I used to catch myself wanting the easiest route possible for a win. This lead me to start overvaluing the win, which lead me to being scared to lose. Be excited for the actual wrestling, and good things happen.

@ajlamesa Also, larger, heavier luggage is a pain on the metro, and if it’s summer it’s fun to sweat through your clothes on an outdoor platform waiting for the train and then sit in those clothes on a plane.

WMATA's hours are still fairly limited compared to metro systems in other major cities. If you have an early morning flight or arrive to the airport late at night, you're stuck taking a taxi.
