Lord/God/Allah, pour out your Spirit on Uganda, on all who have faithfully obeyed you, that justice may prevail. God of miracles, be present with your people in the fiery furnace; send angels to shut lions’ mouths; break chains of bondage, open shut doors, lighten the darkness.

@Hadadkims @ntvuganda I don’t defend the gvt! But people should stop blaming anything but themselves for the terrible road death rates in Uganda. Norway has less dual carriageways than Uganda but only 17 deaths per 1m whereas Uganda had 160 deaths per 1m! Keep to the laws, drive slowly & carefully.

🚨🚨BREAKING 🚨🚨😡 Shock and grief have hit Uganda’s Special Forces Command (SFC) following the sudden death of Herbert Kunda, a trusted VVIP protection officer attached to dictator Museveni. According to sources Kunda was killed by immediate poison of injection on Thursday, 19 March, on the orders of Muhoozi Kainerugaba because he shared the information on how they were about to murder His Excellency Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine the legitimate president of the republic of Uganda and he was later rushed to Nakasero Hospital to create another narrative of death. Afande Herbert was known for his calm demeanour, sharp mind, and professionalism. He was a key figure in dictator Museveni’s close protection team. Colleagues describe him as dependable and highly skilled, while his family remembers him as a loyal, big-hearted, and devoted man. We, citizens of good conscience, remember him as a hero. His death leaves a huge gap in both the security fraternity and his family. Dear Afande Herbert, we will always remember you this way!! ASANTE SANA, COMRADE. #FreeUgandaNow

@TimothyDams @ntvuganda True. Bad roads are not the main cause. Everyone should drive safely, taking into consideration the roads, the weather, day or night, crowds etc. Too many Ugandans blame everything but themselves for road accidents caused by driving dangerously and illegally.

@Hadadkims @ntvuganda Not true - single carriage roads are not the problem. Most roads in the world are single carriageway. The problem in Uganda is people driving dangerously, breaking all the traffic laws. As long as Ugandans blame the government for not building dual carriageways, people will die.

@ntvuganda Truth is until we all accept that single carriage roads are a major accident cause. Speed driving and reckless driving come as secondary.

I have observed individuals on this platform, who present themselves as pan Africanists, criticising Hon. Kyagulanyi (@HEBobiwine) for engaging with authorities on Capitol Hill. Their principal argument is that “African problems must be solved exclusively by Africans.” While this position may appear principled at first glance, it becomes less convincing when examined against historical and present realities. For several decades, the government of Pres. Museveni has depended significantly on U.S. financial assistance, military cooperation, and strategic partnerships to maintain its authority and sustain its programmes. Substantial volumes of development aid, security sector support, and bilateral trade arrangements have played a central role in underpinning our current political order. Contrary to the accusations levelled against him, Hon. Kyagulanyi is not requesting that the U.S. assumes responsibility for resolving Uganda’s or Africa’s internal challenges. Rather, he is respectfully urging Washington to stop providing unconditional support to repressive regimes, to refrain from enabling continued violations of human rights and democratic principles through unchecked aid, military assistance, and diplomatic cover. In any case, such a call aligns closely with pan African ideals because it seeks to protect African citizens from domestic authoritarianism by removing the external forces that have prolonged their oppression. Authoritarian governments, by their nature, prefer that their opposition remains strictly domestic. When dissent is confined within national borders, it is far easier to suppress without attracting meaningful international scrutiny or consequences. However, when legitimate grievances are brought to global attention, there’s a possibility of action, which can be in the form of sanctions, suspension or reduction of foreign aid, and diplomatic isolation. This, if realised, can actually impose real costs on those in power. So the criticisms directed at Hon. Kyagulanyi for seeking international solidarity appear less as genuine expressions of pan African conviction and more as efforts to safeguard the prevailing political and economic arrangements that benefit those presently in power. Genuine commitment to African liberation and self determination requires consistency. If external partnerships are acceptable when they sustain those in government, they cannot reasonably be condemned when employed by citizens seeking accountability and justice. True pan Africanism embraces every effective avenue, be it, local resistance, regional cooperation, and principled international pressure, to secure dignity, freedom, and accountable governance for African people.

I have seen a lot of conflicting opinions from those who claim to be Pan-Africanists regarding this photo but let’s address it clearly. First, what exactly is Pan-Africanism? Second, who truly knows what took @HEBobiwine to Capitol Hill? Third, just because many African presidents don’t take photos there, does that mean they don’t cooperate with the West? In reality, most African governments rely heavily on foreign aid and maintain strong ties with Western powers. We have witnessed Ugandans being brutalized, arrested, and even killed under Museveni’s regime. Is that what Pan-Africanism stands for? We have seen similar situations in other African countries, including Tanzania, Cameroon, and Kenya. Is this the unity and liberation Pan-Africanism promises? To those who identify themselves as Pan-Africanists, what practical steps have you taken to support oppressed people across Africa? Uganda’s biggest challenge right now is ending decades of repression under Museveni. What concrete strategies have you put in place to support this struggle? And what has the @_AfricanUnion done to address ongoing political and human rights challenges across the continent apart from pampering the dictators? We have even seen institutions like @CAF_Online make controversial decisions such as awarding Morocco an AFCON trophy months later, something that has never happened in football history. Is this the fairness Pan-Africanism stands for? The reality is that many African economies depend on Western funding, which in most cases is misused by those in power to oppress their own citizens. In that context, engaging international actors as Bobi Wine has done could be a way to push for accountability, whether through conditions on aid, funding cuts, or sanctions. This is not a betrayal of Pan-Africanism, it's a strategic move in the fight for justice and freedom.

I see many people who support the M7’s military regime saying such reports are fabricated and false. If they are correct, will they allow external observers to visit all prisons and other places of detention to assure everyone that there are no political prisoners?
Daniel Kawuma@Kawuma

No amount of Rehabilitation or PR will fix M7’s image. Over 3,000 Ugandans have disappeared since the January 15 elections, the military still occupies the home of Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi @HEBobiwine, extrajudicial killings continue (22 recent victims reported), and Museveni’s son boasted about those killings on X. The election results never reflected the will of the people, with tally centers announcing NRM candidates who had lost. Civilians are being framed for crimes they didn’t commit, and some have been jailed for over five years without trial. Museveni’s authoritarianism was on full display this week when he called the archbishop to block prayers at Rubaga Cathedral for Dr. Kizza Besigye @kizzabesigye1, who remains imprisoned and ailing. Ugandans deserve a better future & leadership free from brutality and M7. #JazzWithJajja2

Uganda still has many principled men and women who serve with integrity and who believe in something greater than personal gain. Education is not “nothing.” True education equips us with knowledge, discipline, judgment, and a sense of responsibility. It prepares us not only for personal success but also to discharge the duties of any office—public or private—with accountability and honor. As Ugandans, let us individually and collectively resolve to be more intentional, more disciplined, more strategic, and more committed to integrity in both our public and private lives. Day by day, through consistent personal responsibility, we strengthen our country into a nation we are proud to call home—one where peace, dignity, and respect prevail, regardless of political, social, or economic differences. Do not give up on Uganda. Do not give up on pursuing your education. When we give up on our country, we weaken the inheritance of our children and grandchildren. For God and My Country. . . . This post is in response to the comment below. Do we have good people who can stand for Uganda? I thought everyone is mad and drunk on money since it's museveni's system @JusticeKisaakye thanks for being there because I reached the level knowing that education is nothing. After seeing what Byabakama did yet he's educated😭😭

Today we joined Muslim faithful for iftar dinner, hosted by Mukono North MP, Hon Abdullah Kiwanuka in Buntaba Village, Mukono District. Police initially tried to stop this function from taking place, simply because it was organized by an opposition politician. This cowardice will not last forever!

Misleading. Legally, Uganda can ignore European Parliament but NOT without consequences. The Parliament influences funding decisions by the European Commission. It does not impose sanctions, but it can pressure the Council and Commission to do so. It can impact market access.

Bobi Wine's speech to EU PARLIAMENT on 23/02/26, introducing debate on breakdown of democracy, justice & abuse of human rights in UGANDA: youtube.com/watch?v=7zpvQK… It left "DELEGATES SHOCKED ON WHAT IS GOING ON IN UGANDA". WHEN will UK PARLIAMENT wake up & act? SHAME on them.

It is shocking that the EC is still breaking the law by not publishing the results of the 2026 Elections - a sure sign (if any more were needed) that the results are corrupted and false. If the results are all genuine, then what is the EC hiding?!
SSEKABIRA PATRICK@PSSEKABIR

It’s been 40 days since we endured a brutal, military-style “election,” and junta Museveni was declared the winner. Yet, to date, the evidence—including DR forms showing the official results—has never been published on the Uganda Electoral Commission @UgandaEC website, as required by law. We call on the EC to upload the evidence so the people can see the truth and the regime’s fake results are fully exposed.
