Google has massive compute capacity from years of long-term planning: custom TPUs (now in 8th gen), diversified energy/real estate, and faster data center manufacturing.

The U.S. government just weaponized a stable coin issuer to freeze $344 MILLION in USDT tied to two wallets linked to Iran's IRGC.
Tether confirmed the freeze on April 23, citing OFAC compliance and its "zero-tolerance" policy for criminal use of its platform.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called it part of a broader campaign to cut off financial lifelines to the Islamic Regime. The funds, held across two Tron network addresses, are now immovable.
This is a reminder that "decentralized" crypto can be frozen by a private company on government request with no court order and no appeal. If the U.S. can do this to Iran today, what stops them from doing it to anyone tomorrow?
