Unpopular pastoral opinion #5 Most of the music in the church today only serves emotionalism or a dopamine hit, and does nothing to feed your soul Get rid of the rock bands Get rid of the performances Get rid of singing at people Sing the songs of faith together as saints

Staying married and working it out is a billion times better than pushing the ‘nuke the marriage’ button over petty things - especially when there’s children in the picture. Marriage and the Family are the foundations of civilization.

LiquidZulu, most consistent mofo you know
This is what happens when you give homeless people homes---the wreck them, and end up going back to the streets. In this clip, the primary complaint is that the free apartment she is getting doesn't come with house keeping.
necrofuhrer@NecroFuhrer97

@liquid2ulu It's been proven time and time again that using money to solve a problem instead of prolonging it makes it go away. It's infinitely more expensive to treat homeless people like shit than it is to put them in even small, free apartments

The TSA is another example of something that is not a proper role of government. Private airlines should provide their own security. It’s not the government’s job to collect dollars from Taxpayer A and allocate them for security on a PRIVATE flight for Taxpayer B. Very few understand this common sense constitutionalist approach; most citizens have been conditioned to think the government should regulate every aspect of private life and private commerce.

@GuntherEagleman Why must the government pay for the security of private industry? Why isn’t that private industry responsible for it? What’s next? Are taxpayers going to have to pay to feed people on planes too?!

Dear TSA, Elon Musk and real Americans want to pay you. Chuck Schumer and the democrats don’t, they hate you. Vote accordingly.

This is sad. I know as a politician these companies are going to spend a billion dollars against me for saying it but 🤷🏽‍♀️ Pervasive gambling is not good for society. It turns life into a casino, traps people in addiction & debt, surges domestic violence, and fosters manipulation.

@aakashgupta I love the architecture and strongly dislike trees blocking the view of the houses and buildings. It takes all types of preferences to make the world go round.

Let me explain exactly why every new subdivision in America looks like the top photo, because the math is wild. A mature tree increases a home's value by 7 to 19 percent. On a $400,000 house, that's $28,000 to $76,000. A single shade tree produces the cooling equivalent of ten room-size air conditioners running 20 hours a day. One tree on the west side of a house cuts energy bills by 12 percent within 15 years. The bottom photo is worth more, costs less to live in, and sells faster. This has been documented by the University of Washington, Clemson, Michigan State, and the USDA. The data is not in dispute. Removing those trees saves the builder roughly $5,000 per lot. Concrete trucks need twice the dripline radius of every standing tree. Utility trenches need flat ground. A bulldozer flattens 200 lots in an afternoon. Preserving trees adds weeks and thousands per home. So the developer pockets $5,000 in savings and the buyer eats $50,000 in lost value for the next two decades. The person making the decision and the person paying for it have never been in the same room. The Woodlands, Texas is the proof of what happens when they are. George Mitchell bought 28,000 acres of Houston timberland in 1974 and preserved 28% as permanent green space. He forced McDonald's to build behind the tree canopy. That McDonald's became one of the highest-volume locations in Texas. The first office building, designed to reflect the surrounding forest so you couldn't see it from the street, leased completely. The Woodlands median home price today: $615,000. Katy, a comparable Houston suburb that clear-cut: $375,000. Named #1 community to live in America two years running. Fifty years of data. The trees are worth more than removing them saves. Developers clear-cut anyway because they sell the house once and leave. You live in it for 30 years.

@CPowers14 @iflyhiFL410 He was frustrated because they played dirty and hit BYU all night without many calls. Dirty physical abusive cheap play that men of low character result to. Other than that, I have no strong feelings on the matter. Haha.

The Book of Mormon is true and is the most powerful witness of Christ you will ever read. The Bible is also wonderful and true. They both testify of Christ. The Book of Mormon’s witness of Christ and His doctrine is unparalleled on earth.

@ByuSome I don’t mind losing fairly. We definitely dropped the ball. But Texas played dirty. Especially above all their center star, and was rarely called for it. Just dirty play.

Good game. We really wasted the best player in basketball because our bigs are Downy soft and our guards can't shot a damn 3. Freaking embarrassing and pathetic, and I feel for AJ.
