Fair play to the Spurs fans who are clearly ready for the Championship with “Sunderland’s a shithole” and “is this a library” chants. Off yous pop , say hello to Lincoln 👋👋 #safc#thfc
It's amazing how much your cardiovascular risk plummets when you simply:
Don't Smoke
Maintain Normal Blood Pressure
Keep LDL Cholesterol as low as possible for as long as possible.
Get those right, and you are most of the way there.

Bologna is the 8th place I’ve been to in Italy and I really hope that number continues to grow. Easily my favourite country to regularly visit, love the place
63% of UK doctors are overweight or obese.
They are 7% less overweight than the general public they are advising.
The margin is not as reassuring as the profession would like.
@bschermd The physiological normal range for LDL is 50 to 70. Therefore the objective is to achieve that, because we know that range is generally going to prevent atherosclerosis.
Your veins and arteries carry the same blood. Same LDL. Same ApoB. Same everything. Yet veins almost never get plaque. Arteries constantly do.
Maybe you've seen the recent discussions about this. It's an interesting question that provides clues in cardiovascular science, and could challenge how we think about LDL and ApoB. 🧵
I have watched this video yesterday. I personally want to know who this lad is, cause I want to say big up him.
Liverpool is filled with diversity, character and charm, no room for far right fools anywhere.
The “statins only buy 3 days” thing misinterprets that study, because it only measured average death postponement inside short trials across everyone (most had zero events anyway). It ignores the fact statins are used for life, non-fatal heart attacks and strokes etc prevented, and bigger gains in high-risk people.
I can do the same with seatbelt stats: 15k US lives saved/yr, averaged over 330M people = ~0.7 days gained per year (or about 35 days lifetime).
Are you going to stop wearing a seatbelt?
Seeing posts of people especially physicians taking statin + ezetimibe “just in case”?
Don’t fall for it.
These drugs are not general wellness supplements.
✅They are meant for selected group of people:
• Established Coronary Artery Disease
• Prior stroke
• Diabetes (selected patients)
• Very high LDL
• High calculated cardiovascular risk
You usually do NOT need statins or ezetimibe if you have:
• Normal reports
• No major risk factors
• Low overall risk
▶️Important truth:
Medicines are not harmless. Statins can cause muscle symptoms (myalgia, rhabdomyolysis), liver enzyme elevation and rare metabolic effects including diabetes. Therefore, benefits must clearly outweigh risks if you decide to take statins.
🔴Biggest mistake is starting lifelong medication without proper risk assessment.
✅You should focus on:
• Exercise
• Healthy diet
• Optimum Sleep
• Blood pressure control
• Regular screening
“Take statins when indicated. Not out of fear.”
Dr Sudhir Kumar (@hyderabaddoctor)
@hyderabaddoctor The benefits do outweigh the risks. For almost everyone. Most people die of heart disease. Vanishingly few experience negative side effects from statins and ezetimibe.
Keep your LDL low at all costs. Your life depends on it.
Jack Mallers just dropped the endgame:
They plan to buy over $48,000,000,000 worth of Bitcoin.
“We wanna be the largest holder of Bitcoin.”
They’re going all in.
The race for supply is on.
@ArchibaldHadd16 The man has lot the plot ! I pity his poor patients. Still it's profitable for him to spout this utter garbage. Free lunches from the pharma industry mean more to him than patient care.
