I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

These have been a very difficult set of elections. I’ve felt that in Sunderland. But the answer is not to turn inwards. It’s to take responsibility, come together & face up to the challenges ahead. Keir has won before, he can win again. We need to deliver change, not chaos.

I'm sorry, but if you're not going to have an overnight count, there is *absolutely no excuse* not to have all of the constituencies counted and the bulk of the regional list votes announced before 8pm.

@themajorityscot This is a bigger problem, we need party leaders with the guts to put Scotland first, not party all of the Unionist parties are co-conspirators on this one.

To everyone who voted for Reform in the constituencies: We told you it would gift the SNP seats, but you went ahead anyway. We had a chance to destroy the SNP and you fucked it up to get second place.

@AndyEMorrison @scotlandinunion @Erudite4Unity It's not as simple as that Andrew, it had to be a 2 way street, Reform isn't the bogeyman here the other parties have had this issue for years.

Those who advocated for tactical voting in the constituencies to ensure MSPs were reflective of UK’s true support such as @scotlandinunion and sole individuals like @Erudite4Unity were right, and stubborn Reform supporters were wrong.

Sadly the Conservatives lost Eastwood by a mere 732. As per 2014 Indyref two thirds of this area voted for UK, and the Nats sneak in because the Union vote is split 4 ways. SNP | 12,722 (33.2%) 🇬🇧 CON | 11,990 (31.3%) LAB | 8,368 (21.9%) RFM | 3,453 (9.0%) LDM | 1,748 (4.6%)

@tnewtondunn Why not just use their commons majority to scrap elections then?

There is an escape route for Labour from certain disaster at the general election: use their Commons majority to ram through PR. It’s cynical, + they’d never govern alone again, but it locks Reform out of No10. The left (Lab, Gr, LD) still have a majority over the right in the UK
