I suck at social media. This weekend (Oct 15-16) is Fort Point Open Studios! Come visit my building at 300 Summer St in Boston for art and free stuff. @Fortpointarts#FPOS#bostonfortpointos.org
Tomorrow I start a new job - optimizing open #science software for the fastest, and the first #exascale, supercomputer in the US. I hope to make @HPE@AMD and @ORNL proud of their achievement. ornl.gov/news/frontier-…
It's very hard to believe that computers always do what the programmer programmed. The fact that so much goes wrong tells you more about programmers than computers. #frustrated#hadtousesomethingthatwasntlinux

#Firefox 95 completely ruined my Linux machine: 64GB RAM, 16 cores, and it takes 1-5 second to change tabs or switch screens. And I can't downgrade without lsing my profile! Can anyone suggest a non-big-tech browser for #Linux? #upgradehell

@nselikoff@NickSayers Not "easing" that way, but there is a kind of easing another way: If you care about position across the day, there's a peeking effect where atmosphere bends light from below-the-horizon. A rising sun appears earlier and setting lingers later.
Does the position of the sun along the horizon as it rises change at different rates throughout the year? I.e. in animation terms does it ease in and out of the equinox and solstice positions? @NickSayers
