@SkyHelpTeam They weren't going standby - they were crashing. Mine froze at 9:30pm, then restarted (power cable out and back in) and again at 9:40pm, then restarted again and it froze again. I gave up after the 4th restart at 10:30pm and woke up this morning to a frozen box still 'recording'

Cars have killed somewhere in the region of 80 million people since invention, but somehow people still manage to get more annoyed with cyclists.

After having done quite a few @qatarairways flights recently, they seem to have stopped repairing their planes out of 3 flights in the last week, all 3 had either broken or entirely inoperable entertainment. And their 777’s are tired 😬 I feel sorry for the crew. Avoid.

@implausibleblog It's why I have a dedicated work phone & computer. I have my own Mac & Laptop and iPhone which is entirely disconnected from my work stuff. Outside of work hours I'm not on call, and there is no expectation of action. If I'm on leave I turn my phone off and set out of office.

BBC News, "Are you sick of getting emails from your boss outside of work hours?" "Here in the UK the Labour government are introducing a new policy to address that. It is called the right to switch off" What do you think, a good idea or a bad idea?

Interesting article about McDonald's variability. At least in the UK lots of sites just 'can't be arsed' it seems now. Knaresborough @McDonaldsUK , for example, never has 'click & serve' enabled, even though they have the parking space markers allocated. fastcompany.com/91173956/fast-…

Typical. First time I plan to go to London this year and @LNER are sodding striking every weekend. Again. I now have absolutely *no* trust in our public transport any more. They wonder why people are driving everywhere - well, you have your answer. Crap public transport.

Nice to see that @SkyUK Go application on MacOS is *still* an Intel application. The only one left on my Mac, as it happens. Well, they might have a problem as I get the feeling they are very much the last one standing. Not like they haven't had 4 years to solve it...

@BlacktopMagazin I always think from the side it’s like a Capri that got fat in it’s old age. Especially the rear window.

@AndrewE74823576 @ChaponaBike123 If you watch the video in full, he was driving on the public road first filming whilst driving… But farmers, you know, are a law unto themselves - like the one who threatened me because I reporting him driving on a public road with a trailer with no number plate. He got 3 points

Yet again another @SwishFibre outage. And yet again service status page is useless. Seems like @CuckooInternet can’t actually deliver stable internet currently. Or is it APFN? Even if there’s a high order failure in a carrier - there should be a service status & expected fix eta.

@TheSun The cyclist is trespassing which is a tort and not ‘illegal’ per-se, but a civil matter. The farmer is assaulting the cyclist which is illegal and is a criminal matter. Whether the farmer likes it or not, he now has broken the law (twice, by using his mobile when driving)

@tazwake (I should add - I’ve been a home worker for 9 years - way before the pandemic. I used to work for HPE and 80% of their workforce are remote due to being spread internationally - I’m in the U.K. but my boss was in Austin and my co-workers spread around the globe)

@tazwake Yep. I’m way more productive at home than I ever was in the office. Just need to know how to use the collaboration tools like Teams to your advantage. Plus I don’t have to spend 3 hours a day commuting. Which also saves me a fortune.

@JonnyWonny6 @MrRoryReid Nokian tyres did a good article about the myth about EV tyre wear. EV’s generally have *much* better and more precise torque & traction control than any ICE vehicle & tyre longevity. I don’t think I’ve ever spun the wheels on my P2 - not for want of trying. Unlike my old Audi A4.

I heard electric cars have excessive tyre wear. But I just ticked over 10,000 miles in my Tesla Model Y RWD. These look alright to me. Reckon they’ll last another 10k.

@ChaserUK1 @SpanishDan1 90% of paedophilia convictions are male white right wingers. But you carry on hiding your racism behind a veil - “look over there” whilst your friends destroy innocent children’s lives and you are complicit. fullfact.org/crime/what-do-…
