@JenSiebelNewsom What a joke. You guys won’t enforce it. Also give back the kick backs you received from baby to baby. Why do you call IT “gov”. Are you a hired sex worker too? #harveysHO

Governor Newsom just signed an executive order directing California to build a statewide roadmap to prevent sex trafficking, identify exploitation earlier, and better support survivors. I’ve worked on this issue for years alongside leaders across California, and I’m proud we brought agencies, law enforcement, and survivor-centered organizations together to strengthen prevention and coordination.

You know how great rent control is, with posh grifters living elsewhere while subleasing their rent controlled SF flats for profit? The brilliant minds (and gorgeous, testicle-like countenances) of Commie Chan and Christin Evans are teaming up to do that to our small businesses!

UPDATE: It took the Newsom administration 66 days to release the #DiaperGate contract records... and 30 minutes to demand corrections. They called our reporting “demonstrably false.” You be the judge. (Part 4 coming soon!) cbsnews.com/news/newsoms-o…

A new Bay Area wide investigation highlights a problem we've been sounding the alarm on for the last year: corporate-owned “zombie” grocery stores sitting vacant while communities lose access to affordable groceries. This is exactly why I proposed legislation to tax long-vacant corporate grocery stores and incentivize them to reopen or make way for a new grocer. Unfortunately, that proposal was blocked before it could even receive a hearing and vote before the full Board of Supervisors. The fight isn’t over. We’ll keep pushing for policies that expand grocery access, increase accountability, and help eliminate food deserts. sfgate.com/food/article/a…

I just read through the DSA's new platform. It is the most utopian/dystopian, bat-sh*t insane thing I have ever read. It includes: 1. No more bills for anyone 2. Government-run food, housing, medicine, transportation, and nationalizing all other large corporations and essential industries 3. The drafting of a “new constitution” 4. Defunding the Department of War 5. Slavery reparations 6. Unlimited free abortion and “gender-affirming care” for all, including minors 7. Have taxpayers pay off everyone’s entire student debt & fund unlimited “free” higher education for all 8. Taking “steps toward fully abolishing the police and prison system” 9. Ending ALL deportations, providing amnesty for ALL illegal immigrants, and allowing unlimited migration to America 10. Abolish the Presidency, Supreme Court, and Senate Other than that, their plans seem super realistic, practical, and not at all naive, revolutionary, or dystopian. 🤡🤡🤡

🇺🇸 California Governor Gavin Newsom dropped the diaper contract Friday night. That's the classic move. Reporters have clocked off, nobody's watching, and the story dies over the weekend. The $6.2 million deal went to Baby2Baby, a nonprofit whose CEO sits on the board of a charity started by Newsom's wife. State records say it was non-competitively bid, so nobody else got to make an offer or undercut the price. It's already been extended by another $12.5 million. Where the cash goes: $3.89 million on diapers, $750,000 shipping, $610,000 warehousing, $917,000 on 12 employees. Republicans are asking why the state needs a middleman at all when California or the hospitals could just buy the diapers themselves. Watchdogs want a full audit of how Baby2Baby got picked. Making it easier to build more homes is the progressive position. Thank you @ewarren for your leadership on this massively important issue at the heart of our nation’s affordability crisis.
Paul E Williams@PEWilliams_

Senator Warren on her ROAD to Housing package: "Why has this happened? The biggest reason is very simple: we just don't have enough homes. We're millions of homes short, and it's plain old economics 101. When there's not enough of something, the price goes way up."

Newsom’s cronies “tucked a single provision into the nearly 900-page state budget exempting the diaper program from competitive bidding laws, Department of General Services oversight and public posting requirements for no-bid contracts.” City family scam. nypost.com/2026/07/18/us-…

Oakland council member proposes a $409k "severance package" for former city Administrator who resigned after sending inappropriate text messages on a city device. Why give severance to an employee after he resigns? Seems like a waste of taxpayer money. oaklandside.org/2026/07/16/oak…

@marcjoffe BART doesn’t design the housing or pay for the construction. The developer and their funding partners handle it. We view TOD as self help as it brings in revenue and increases ridership.

Why is BART designing housing when it is supposed to be facing a financial crisis? Just sell the parking lots to a developer and let that company take on the work and the risk. sfchronicle.com/bayarea/articl…

Gavin Newsom is openly courting the far left. In a July 3 podcast interview, Newsom portrayed himself as a different kind of “establishment Democrat”—one who embraces DSA members. He flatly rejected the idea that socialists pose a threat to the Democratic Party, calling their rise “a healthy damn thing.” He stressed that Democrats should maintain a “big tent” that welcomes socialists and sets aside disagreements, adding: “I’m for addition, not subtraction. The Democratic Party needs to be in the addition business.” Newsom echoed these sentiments in press conference Saturday when asked about the rise of Democratic Socialists: “I think it is a very healthy thing. Look, I’m one of those Democrats who deeply believes in addition, not division. I want to win.”

@marcjoffe If the trains and buses are being used in lieu of school buses then this seems fair, issue the school kids mostly passes, have the district chuck on some money. In Buffalo the school kids rode the Metro Rail w/ NFTA cops keeping an eye on them. College kids like me paid.
