My favorite part of the discourse surrounding Foxen's KK fold is I've seen a billion opinions floating around but yet to see anyone post a single sim.

@MelonjuiceWar I get what he’s saying, , but unlike everyone else, he’ll actually take the time to post his proofs and show his work. And 0% QQ is always a call . You ever done any of this math yourself ? The conditions for calling QQ are likely more extreme than the conditions for folding it

@martymath It was Greenwood's way of saying she made a horrible fold. It's always a call with QQ+ in that spot, because math.

See lots of people criticizing, but yet to see a single HRC calc post. That’s the problem with this generation of poker players , if it takes longer than a pre-solved GTOWiz sim , count them out (Also agree with Greenwood, both TT and JJ are the interesting decisions. Excited to see the POTD incoming)

Took my daughter to her preschool interview. Lovely place, attentive staff, hoping she gets selected. Have a follow up interview in a few weeks. If they ask, what should I list as my occupation?

@BillforTravel @POVMexico Im far from a snob and I live in the area so it’s 95% of the wine I consume . It’s just hard to compare it to the level of Napa or Sonoma (it’s on par with Temecula at a discount) Theres a few places I love, but my trips are focused on food, scenery and the wine is just a bonus

Two hours south of San Diego, Valle de Guadalupe has grown into Mexico’s most important wine region, with 150+ wineries spread across a valley long known for agriculture. Over time, independent winemakers and chefs started building here, raising the level year by year until it earned spots on the Michelin Guide and comparisons to Napa, without trying to copy it. A day here is usually a mix of winery stops and one solid meal, with most places a short drive from each other. Tastings are relaxed, often hosted by the people actually making the wine, and menus focus on Baja ingredients like seafood, olive oil, and local produce. You can cover a few spots without overplanning, and it still feels like you got a full day out of it.

@JakeNomada Monterrey is great. Think you undervalue TJ way too much . Proximity to border is nutted and it’s not the doom and gloom you’d be led to believe . It is just as or more expensive than a lot of US cities to raise a family though

When you're honest about Mexico 🇲🇽 for raising kids... Not just regurgitating the idiocracy you see about cartels on the news You've got maybe 6-8 cities that actually work Places with: - International schools that aren't terrible - Hospitals you'd trust with your child - Safety that won't keep you up at night - Infrastructure that functions → Monterrey/San Pedro 🇲🇽 → Mexico City 🇲🇽 → Guadalajara/Zapopan 🇲🇽 → Merida 🇲🇽 → Queretaro 🇲🇽 → San Miguel de Allende 🇲🇽 → Los Cabos 🇲🇽 Notice something? None of them are beach towns minus Los Cabos The YouTube gurus hyping up Playa del Carmen for families are either lying or don't have kids Beach life is incredible for 2-3 months a year But for school, healthcare, and long-term stability? You need a real city with real infrastructure The dual-base strategy is the only way: Main base in one of these cities (9 months) + summer beach house (3 months) That's how many wealthy Mexicans do it, and there's a damn good reason why

Mexican highways are a prime example of how we, as a society, can function without mandatory auto insurance. In Mexico, there is no mandatory vehicle insurance (which is mandatory throughout the EU). However, the owners of Mexican highways want to ensure their highways are as safe as possible, minimize any conflicts, and save as many lives as possible. So, included in the toll fee—as soon as you enter the highway—you automatically have coverage for damages caused by others, medical assistance, roadside assistance, infrastructure damage, breakdown assistance, towing, and similar services. The coverage is up to ~2.2 million Mexican pesos (approx. $120,000 USD), depending on the type of damage. This is roughly how it would work in a free market, without state rent-seeking by a few insurance companies.

The worst part of the S2 disaster is the fans are there, Indian Wells is anticipating 600K fans for the first time, they just aren't allowed on Stadium 2 and the atmosphere is absolutely horrendous. Best of both would be still sell upper deck tickets but at night let GA in.
José Morgado@josemorgado

They should fix this night session ticketing situation on Stadium two, because it looks pathetic to have a Medvedev-Baez match empty at 9.30pm. It's not even that late.
