Yesterday's Britain, A Better Britain.
Three channels on the TV 📺 - and the programmes were 👍 Radio 1 played good music Fish and chips wasn't a luxury A heatwave was welcomed 2 postal deliveries a day The council kept the local parks nice and tidy There was a police station not too far away You could get a doctors appointment for the next day You knew your neighbours Shops were shut on Sundays The government governed The High Streets were booming Men were men, and women were women Britain was British and bloody great. That was the past. That was Yesterday's Britain 🇬🇧, A Better Britain 🇬🇧

sad to think what England could've achieved in Glenn Hoddle's prime if the manager had the courage to drop Bryan Robson and Ray Wilkins. Personally, I would have had Gary Mabbutt and Graham Roberts as England regulars in the midfield with Glenn Hoddle. We all would, wouldn't we?

Scotland’s only oil refinery that could produce jet fuel for the UK has been forced to shut down, the latest victim of Ed Miliband’s carbon tax. Grangemouth closed last year after the tax doubled under Labour’s Net Zero push. Britain now imports 50% of its jet fuel from the unstable Middle East, right as the Iran crisis threatens global supplies. A third of UK refineries have already vanished in 2025. Ryanair boss warns shortages could hit planes from May.

Lighten up time, folks - 1st April 1957, BBC's Richard Dimbleby of Panorama fame tells the British public live on TV about spaghetti trees growing on the banks of the River Po in Lombardy. For just a few seconds, he had us bemused? Good old fashioned humour, you can't beat it.

"This is Ted he is a 96 year old WW2 veteran. He came into my pub today for his lunch. I couldn't help but notice his medals I just had to go and ask him about his life and say thank you for his service to our country. He became really overwhelmed and cried. He said 'thank you young man no one cares about what I have to say anymore.' I told him that I'm sure there are so many people that do. Can we all please like and share this post and show him just how many of do care about our veterans and prove to Ted he's not forgotten. I will show him this post when he comes back for his dinner next week." Credit - animal discovery

The government’s big answer to sky-high fuel prices 🚀 An app that shows one local garage selling petrol at £1.55 a litre… and the other at £1.56 🤦🏼‍♂️ Truly world-class leadership. What a useless bunch of idiots 🎪
