Working to ensure that those living with mental illness thrive. @FountainHouse47. Marathoner - in for the long run! Views are my own.

Nearly half of voters across the country have a personal connection to serious mental illness, whether it’s themselves or someone close to them. That’s why everyone, everywhere needs access to mental health care. More at poweringcommunities.org #healingminds #poweringcommunities

@RepRitchie introduces new federal legislation to bolster mental health services across the country — improving access to holistic, community-based care that focuses on both the recovery and reintegration process. 1/3 fountainhouse.org/news/fountain-…

(1/3) This #WorldMentalHealthDay help us spread the word on a community-based solution that works. For 74 years, the clubhouse model, founded by @fountainhouse, has been creating community & proving that people living with serious mental illness can achieve their dreams.

In a recent article published in @JMIR_JoPM, @fountainhouse discusses a way to dramatically shift how research is conducted and used in real-world settings. Visit our blog to learn more on what this means for people living with serious mental illness: fountainhouse.org/news/people-wi…

TY to @NYCHealthCommr Vasan for pointing out the need for community/socialization for people w/serious mental illness (in addition to needs like housing & health care). We must expand clubhouses like @fountainhouse that fulfill this basic need if we’re going to stem this crisis.

Today we honor @fountainhouse, a national organization serving people with serious mental illness. The Foundation supports @FountainGallery, a space for participants to display and sell their art, develop their artistic practice, foster recovery, and gain financial independence.
