@StockSavvyShay If this happened the very first thing they would do is say “well you didn’t contribute any money so why should you get to decide how to spend it?” guy thinks he’s slick lol

@dicapito The split was real. Sanford did better in polling than she did in the debate. Also, Rabb got entirely too much name recognition. What folks don't realize is that they are not reliable Democratic votes.

I was warned about Pennsylvania 😒😒😒
Come on PA… why?!

@mash2k22 @Thought_Critica @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower To pretend like every other generation that had existed before you hadn’t had its own adversities, and things in the single greatest time to be alive are the problem, is an excuse mindset. Nobody said it was easy, but it’s done by many, every single day.
English

I love this trick from baby boomers. Make things insanely unaffordable and do not raise workers’ wages. Then, complain that young people spend too much money on frivolous activities like eating lunch.
Mikli@CryptoMikli
Kevin O’Leary says Gen Z is financially cooked when people making $70K a year are spending $28 on lunch
English

@mash2k22 @Thought_Critica @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower It’s the reason FIRE, and people like Dave Ramsey have done so well. Because once you accept that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you handle it, you take responsibility and control of the things you can control.
English

@pkicker2 @Thought_Critica @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower lol that is incorrect. A majority would be > 50% of debt unrelated to medical expenses. I just told you that is not the case. So no, a majority of consumer debt does not come from lifestyle creep, it comes from medexp. Single 70k is barely middle class btw
English

@mash2k22 @Thought_Critica @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Contributing factors? Sure. Also not going down a healthcare rabbit hole right now. But correct a majority of consumer debt has come from lifestyle creep, especially for people in the middle to upper middle class. The $70k a year people.
English

@mash2k22 @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower If you think that the outcome of somebody's life is not the continuum of a multitude of personal choices, then you're not worth having a conversation with anymore.
English

@pkicker2 @Thought_Critica @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower You don’t think the fact that we have the most consumer debt is tied to the fact that we have for profit healthcare which accounts for over half of the consumer debt? Or that we operate on a system that requires a credit score for you to “exist” financially?
English

@mash2k22 @Thought_Critica @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Except we have the most consumer debt in history even adjusted for inflation. We also have some of the worst savings rates. These two behaviors are obviously extremely correlated. Behavioral finance is the #1 issue that exists and it’s not even close
English

@Thought_Critica @theresnoyou @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower You pay for a free app dude. You shouldn’t talk to anyone about their life choices
English

@theresnoyou @mash2k22 @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Bullshit. I sold my old car for 3,000 3 years ago and the dude is still driving it around with no issues. Your inability to get ahead in life is fully connected to your own perception and nothing else.
English

@Thought_Critica @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower So do you think that anyone making over $16k/year should have savings/emergency funds? And if they don’t it’s bc they’re not good enough at budgeting? Do you think not following a formal budget = spends recklessly and eats $28 lunches every day? lol
English

@mash2k22 @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Glad you asked! Over 70% of Americans don't follow a formal budget, and over 80% of Americans don't have a proper emergency savings fund. Despite the fact that only around 10% of Americans live in poverty. Soooooooo, the answer is the vast majority of people. 😁
English

@pkicker2 @Thought_Critica @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower That’s not very specific. Just going off vibes?
English

@mash2k22 @Thought_Critica @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower A large one. I think collectively, a large percentage of the population spends too much everyday on things that it shouldn’t.
English

@Thought_Critica @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Where did I ever advocate for people to not take responsibility? Saying a billionaire jackass is wrong about something doesn’t mean I think everyone should eat $30 lunches they can’t afford. I also don’t think that’s happening as much as you or the rich jackass thank it is
English

@mash2k22 @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower The boomer mentality of "checks notes" actually taking responsibility for myself like every person has been expected to do for the entire history of all humankind.... cool
English

@Thought_Critica @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower What percentage of the population do you think is spending too much money on lunch?
English

@mash2k22 @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower What are you talking about? You're not making any sense. Rephrase the question.
English

@Thought_Critica @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Ohhhh so you idolize this guy. Explains a lot lol. Congrats on doing better for yourself. Sucks you’ve adopted the boomer mentality after getting out. Once I got myself out of poverty, I decided to go the opposite direction from you I guess
English

I very clearly do lmao. Kevin O Leary was raised middle class and didnt become a millionaire until he was 44 years old. He spent the vast majority of his life living like a regular person.
I was homeless. For several years. And now i'm one hundred percent positive that i'm doing better in life than. That's not an accident lol
.
English

@Thought_Critica @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Point me in the direction of these people who make $70k and spend $28/day on lunch. How many people do you realistically live their lives like that without supplemental income?
English

I'm not missing the point at all. Buying whole foods is infinitely cheaper and healthier than buying prepared food from a restaurant lmao. Learning how to cook and buying nutritional Whole Foods will always be better for your budget and health than any other option you can literally think of. He's telling people that they will not have the discipline to get ahead in life.If they can't even control themselves at lunchtime every day. He is one thousand per cent correct.
English

@Thought_Critica @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower lol you don’t gotta mansplain a budget to me big guy. The whole point is the problem comes down to the framing and the messenger. This billionaire jackass doesn’t know shit about real people and he’s using a stupid/bad example. That’s not my fault.
English

Fk me. I forgot you people were incapable of analyzing anything beyond a single dimension. Building a proper budget is about more than one thing dummy. Meal prep food at home to avoid going out. Cancel any and all unnecessary subscriptions that do not add value to your life. Stop wasting money on unnecessary snacks and treats that you can't afford. Buy things only when you need them, not when you want them. Prioritize fitness and career so you can figure out what you need to do to improve both. When you are struggling, financially, every ounce of your effort should go towards living within your means and figuring out how to expand those means so you can live within new ones.
Anything else makes you a burden on society.
English

@Thought_Critica @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower You’re missing the point completely. You have a billionaire telling people to eat dog food to get by (using ridiculous hyperbole btw) while he more than likely wastes more in a month than a poor person consumes in a year. Saving even $20/day for a year doesn’t afford luxuries
English

@mash2k22 @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Plus I bought my first car from a dealership when I made just a little over minimum wage. Not that long ago. I'm not old lol. Stop acting like it's impossible for people to get ahead in life.
English

@Thought_Critica @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Well in my scenario my budget started at $28 per lunch per day. I took that down to $0/day and that got me a shitty car. If I make that ~$5/day then I’m left with an even shittier car.
English

Just because you call budgeting "starving yourself" doesn't make it true. It's nobody's responsibility to take care of you and make good decisions on your behalf but yours. If you don't make enough money, then you either need to figure out how to make more or figure out how to spend less, that is just a fact of life.Whether you like it or not.
English

@Thought_Critica @pkicker2 @AlexReimer1 @TBallKnower Ok so cars over 150k are available you if you just manage to starve yourself for a year CONGATS! Never mind the rent part
