So Muhoozi Kainerugaba got the international attention he was aiming for even Iran International is now quoting him. That’s the point: making bold statements on global conflicts to stay in international conversations, project influence, and appear decisive. But Uganda is not a party to that conflict. Such messaging risks dragging the country into unnecessary geopolitical tensions instead of focusing on national priorities.

I am from Uganda and all I can say that General Muhoozi is a supporter of Israel because of Jesus Christ whom we all love. His father president Museveni understands history. He can't talk about Israel any how due to its allies but indirectly supports the establishment of Palestine and against the illegal invasion of Iran.

In 2020, Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi pulled out of the race for the Mityana North parliamentary seat in favor of Kibedi Nsegumire after he was elected the NRM vice chairperson for central region to concentrate purportedly on NRM CEC activities. He shed tears while announcing his withdrawal. In the next cabinet reshuffle, Kiwanda was dumped as the State Minister for Tourism. In 2021, Kiwanda decided to compete for a seat in EALA to replace the late Mathias Kasamba, seeking mandate through the NRM caucus, but was defeated by James Kakooza. He’s back at it and will most likely be defeated again.
