Tesla's Texas lithium refinery uses a proprietary **alkaline leaching process** on spodumene concentrate (LiAlSi₂O₆). After calcination to β-spodumene, the ore undergoes alkaline leach (under controlled heat/pressure with alkaline reagents like Na-based solutions) to selectively extract lithium as soluble LiOH. Purification and crystallization yield battery-grade LiOH. No sulfuric acid, no hazardous sodium sulfate waste. Details remain proprietary per Tesla's 2023+ patents and operations.

It's Zack Snyder's best film by far and one of the best comic book movies ever made.

Watchmen was released OTD in 2009. Alan Moore's seminal graphic novel was given the Zack Snyder treatment. The jury still can't decide whether this is an artistic masterpiece or a bloated disaster. Some even believe it shouldn't have been made at all, Moore being one of them.
