hey @JustinTrudeau do we think there's a business case now for Canada to sell LNG to Japan or Germany? Might that have been a good idea to move on 3 years ago?

@TimHoustonNS kudos for the letter to Nova Scotians published on the front page of the Chronicle Herald today. I agree wholeheartedly that we have everything we need for a strong and independent economy in Nova Scotia. It will take a lot of work to shift the thinking. Worth it.

@theJagmeetSingh your shallow understanding of economics and the difficult choices needed to govern a modern country make you sound like a weekend dad who promises "ice cream all weekend, kids; not like that mean mom @PierrePoilievre who wants to make you eat liver & broccoli"

@EdmontonOilers I was always proud of the fact that our jersey never had any sponsors. It remained classic and timeless allowing us to enjoy the sport side of a game. Yes it's a business but do you have to plaster a logo on the Jersey itself? This cheapens and devalues the brand

@sarkonakj Thanks for this article. I've seen glimpses of this emasculation of the military, but this is the most damning presentation and reckoning that I've read. I was hoping our military might be the last institution standing where adults still run the place. We are so f**ked.

The last time the military “reflected” Canadian demographics was likely during WW2. The primary recruiting pool since then has been rural/small city-based, high school educated, working class white men. Alienating this group is unwise. My column: nationalpost.com/opinion/jamie-…

@DinoDRossi A lot of people are commenting here that the organization is rotten. Can anyone elaborate or speculate as to what the focus of the organization is, if it's not football/soccer?

@sarkonakj I agree. And I remain intrigued with Amazon example where, without "scientific method", indigenous people have gained a tremendous amount of what we would call scientific knwldg. How did they do it? I share ur skepticism in the NP article. And remain curious about ind. "science"

@mathewwelsh If they actually have medicinal value verified through the scientific method, that’s just plain old science. And if that gets factored into policy, all good. Cultural values, spirituality, and non-scientific information governed by knowledge keepers is not science though.

The House of Commons science committee is studying "how best to integrate Indigenous Traditional Knowledge and science into government policy development." ...And most MPs involved aren't questioning the ridiculous notion that science differs by identity. nationalpost.com/opinion/jamie-…

@sarkonakj WD has written lots about indigenous knowledge that goes beyond spiritual or cultural practices. Some people in the Amazon have a deep understanding of the 50,000 plant varieties surrounding them. plants used in certain combinations have medicinal value. How did they know that?

@sarkonakj I am a big fan of your writing. Believe me I'm in your corner. But I always get the sense that you think Indigenous knowledge is pure voodoo. I understand the skepticism. Have you asked for examples from your sources? Have you ever talked to Wade Davis about this subject?

@strombo @joelplaskett cover of Joni Mitchell's "That Song About The Midway" is quite sublime. He shares her gift for lyric writing and melody, and I think he earns the right to cover a great like Joni, and this cover is true to the original but fresh and contemporary.

@BruceMcCurdy On your podcast you guys should discuss why the Oilers play so much dump-and-chase. Ottawa played more of a possession game especially in the third. And the Oilers seem to get trapped in their end so much, and when they skate out they just dump it.

In the spirit of #GivingTuesday, pleased to share one of two videos we created for @Shell_Canada about an amazing team of coworkers who decided to make a difference in a new way.
Shell Canada@Shell_Canada

A desire to help sparked a big idea that is supporting many of Canada’s frontline heroes during the pandemic. This #GivingTuesday, we recognize @bauerhockey for the 3D design and everyone involved @ShellScotford in making more than 3,000 face shields. #FuellingKindness
