I’ve been working on a project where you can collect teleoperations to train VLAs with a meta quest. If teleop data can be reliably collected in virtual reality to a level close enough to the real world, then that would change the game. There would be no need for expensive hardware e.g. a 5k arm to collect data, and would open up data collection to everyone.
