After eight and a half years, I'll be leaving Auto Express in mid-August. Hugely proud to have been part of such an amazing team. But I've been thinking of trying something new, and am thrilled to have found a fresh challenge in the industry. More news on that in early Sept!

@Mufga @motomatters @matoxley Not bikes, but Toyota ran a hydrogen burning car in an endurance race a few years ago. Managed about 15 laps or 36 miles on each full tank...
Interesting idea but it burns so fast I can't see it ever being practical for cars or bikes.

TL;DR - 75 litres of storage -> 3kg of hydrogen @ 10,000psi -> maybe 100 miles of range

@SkewLeader @visordown Difference with the CMA's suggestion is that the data would be supplied by the retailers, rather than members of the public as is the case with PP. The data would be open source so could be integrated with something like Google Maps. No telling it'd make any difference, ofc!

@Carpervert @CarGurusUK Agreed. While hardly a budget car, I thought the Merc GLB/EQB was probably the closest modern version of the Yeti’s box design. Jogger/Duster seem closest in nature, though, if not as good to drive. Shame that, with so many SUVs out there, none hit the mark like the Yeti did.
