The toughest part of my morning run? Not the pace. Not the distance. Not the weather. It’s standing by the door while my brain lists every reason to stay inside. Once I’m out there, the run usually takes care of itself. The first step is the hardest rep.

First Ironman in the books. We got it done, team. I now have immense respect for that distance. More to come. For now, I am left feeling satisfied and grateful for the performance and support along the way.

@TheStaad My aunt once told me: “ the best pillow is a clean conscience”.

When I was 10 and in the 5th grade, I cheated on a multiplication test. I wrote down an answer before the timed test started because that particular answer always stumped me back then (9x6) I felt so guilty afterward that I confessed the dishonesty to my teacher. She was so touched that I confessed that it brought her to tears. The relief I felt brought me the same reaction As I entered adulthood, I lost that moral compass that I was born with, and the things I thought I wanted began to pass me by. So I began to lie, cheat and steal to get those things until the damage to my conscience began to make me physically ill. Unfortunately, this took a couple of decades Today, I am grateful to have that moral compass and clean conscience back. It was never anything I’d ever earned. It was a gift from God that I chose to set aside for many years, thinking the shiny objects of the world would be a superior replacement. I was wrong Today, I am finally convinced that it is far better to have nothing but a clean conscience than it is to have everything but your soul. I am grateful to have learned my lesson. People have died for far less Thank you, God

How fast is your 5K for your age group? Not for your feed. Not for the group chat. For your actual life.

@DavidDack I recently ran a 5K trail race in 28:14. My goal was sub-30. And I’m 70 years old. I was very happy.

What counts as a “good” 5K for a recreational runner? Sub-35? Sub-30? Sub-25? Or depends who’s asking? Be honest. Everyone has a secret line.

@SahilBloom I would add to be careful on how you speak to others and the words you use. Frequent profanity can undermine all that.

Always take yourself seriously. Stop showing up in the world like it was an accident. Do the little things to show up as the best version of yourself. Move your body daily. Eat real foods. Get good sleep. Buy a few outfits that fit. Maintain good hygiene rituals. Move slowly and deliberately. Head tall. Use open body language. Never cross your arms in front of you. None of that needs to be expensive, but not doing it will be. The way the world treats you is a simple reflection of the way you treat yourself. Always carry yourself like your life matters. Because it does.

Announcing your own birthday on X is basically filing an 8-K for attention. No material change in the business. Just aging, mild vanity, and a request for likes from shareholders. 🎉
