There are heaps of examples that have shown improvements in NYC traffic since the toll. Fewer cars. More riding the bus. Quieter. Safer. Cleaner. But that's going to be thrown away, for one man's ego? Sad.

While questions are being raised about New York’s congestion pricing toll scheme, our 2025 Traffic Index ranked NYC as the slowest moving city in North America. bit.ly/4gIXx7u #congestionpricing #NewYork #TomTom

@snehamordani There are a lot of people who work 4 days in the Netherlands. But that's not the norm, and they do it at a salary reduction. It's still a 5 day work week for the majority.

Infosys founder NarayanaMurthy has expressed his disappointment with India adopting a 5 days work week from 6 days work week in 1986.
Reiterates he doesn’t believe in work life balance.

@mattbeedham Bloody hell, I remember that. Specifically, HOURS sitting in a recording studio listening to Jeremy reading out all the instructions. But seller is talking shit about why it wasn't on sale for long. It was because BBC hadn't approved and it broke rules about commercial tie-ins.
English

@sniffpetrol Amazing... That seems to tally with what I've heard from my colleagues! I would think nowadays we could just AI Jeremy's voice? Save the hassle. 😂

@sniffpetrol Do you know anything about these things from back in the day? ebay.co.uk/itm/2853430259…

TomTom still uses MoMa cars as part of a much larger, and constantly growing, network of sources that come from open data, partners, communities and beyond. Reality is it takes a lot of people coming together to map accurately and consistently.

This is a costly endeavor. But if you don't have access to quality map data from a multitude of sources... it'll be a reality for a while to come. Apple's going the course alone in mapmaking, and will no doubt, come up against more challenges like this.
