Just spoke to a guy who said he hates President Trump. His exact words were, "I think he's absolutely awful." I asked him who he voted for. He said, "Trump." I asked him if he regretted his vote. He goes, "He's awful, but he's also right." I didn't get it... "what do you mean that?" He says: "He was right about the border. He was right about men in women's sports. He was right about trade. He was right about the media lying. He was right about almost everything they called him crazy for... ...yeah, he's awful, he craps on dead people, ICE is grabbing people off the streets, he brags all the time, and picks so many fights he doesn't need to pick and I think that's dumb, but the alternative was a woman who was the dumbest person I've seen in my entire life, so HELL NO I don't regret my vote." The conversation went on for awhile longer and we talked about a BUNCH of other things he had no idea about, specifically around ICE and immigration enforcement. But it is always fascinating to me that even the people who dislike Trump NOW and disliked him EVEN WHEN THEY VOTED FOR HIM... still DO NOT regret their vote for him... ...because the alternative is ALWAYS President Kamala Harris. And that's an untenable reality for anyone who voted for Trump. To this day, I have still never, ever met anyone who voted for Trump that regrets their vote for him. Do you?

@LisaDemuthMN I'm struggling with this one. On the one hand the ban is terrible. On the other hand, in Ely, the company that wants to move in has a bad environmental impact history and is messing with stuff on the BWCA watershed. The ban needed to go but MN needs to watch this stuff like hawks

@MorePerfectUS @GovTimWalz as an independent, we have a lot pf disagreement, but this feels like a plain bad idea. There have to be at a minimum MN or at least us companies with better track records right??

BREAKING: The Senate just passed the legislation allowing the devastation of the Boundary Waters. The motion passed 50-49, and now goes to Donald Trump’s desk. The way Republicans passed this bill that prevents future administrations from issuing protections for Superior National Forest, so this pristine land will be exploited in perpetuity unless Congress intervenes to reverse this decision. The state of Minnesota can still block the Chilean mining corporation from operating in Superior National Forest and protect the Boundary Waters from pollution.
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

The Senate is about to vote on handing a national forest over to a foreign corporation. A Chilean mining company wants to develop a copper mine upstream from the Boundary Waters, a pristine wilderness. The GOP has to choose between a foreign corporation and their constituents.

@SharylAttkisson This is unfortunately nothing new here (and I suspect most large cities). I have personally been advised to leave an area and my friend has been told the direction to leave after leaving a convenience store.

Based on my recent reporting trip to Minneapolis (and we were told as much by the locals), it is unsafe for people who are white and not known to key people in the area to be in certain neighborhoods or stores. If you are not accompanied by a known local, you may be profiled, followed/tracked, approached and questioned by people who will demand answers but not tell you who they are, told you "don't belong," told to leave, and/or made to feel threatened. I'm talking about peacefully going to public places in an open society. I was surprised, too.

Everybody, everybody, everybody - no matter who they are, where they come from, race, creed, citizenship, or background - everybody is a somebody with a story, history, and journey that only God fully knows. …That’s a good thing to remember as you interact with the somebody’s in your world today.

After 21 years of working on my doctorate, I just ordered my robes & regalia for graduation. Very important to order the proper academic color for your doctoral robes. I wonder what color my lightsaber will be?? I was led to believe that will be part of this…

Lock in, we’re Moonbound. Artemis II astronauts are more than halfway to their destination, and preparations for lunar flyby are underway. During their trip around the far side of the Moon, they will capture imagery to share with scientists (and you, too!).

Amy Klobuchar has been away from Minnesota for 20 years. And now she's running for governor from her perch in D.C. Dayton and Walz did the same. We've seen how this movie ends. It's time for a change.

Every member in the U.S. Senate agrees we cannot allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon. I’m baffled why so many are unwilling to support the only action to achieve that. Empty sloganeering vs. commitment to global security — which is it?

@billmaher I see a bunch of wannabe oligarchs are divided due to a deep desire to look most pure. The people of the US have disagreements but on the whole not sure we are as deeply divided on what matters as they make it look. They are just trying to drag us into their fantasy

This is what Tim Walz has created. Vigilante wine moms from “Minnesota ICE Watch” driving recklessly on the freeway to stop ICE vehicles from doing their jobs - causing a crash on the freeway. And everyone blames ICE for the chaos.
