@AliBHamed You are spot on with these comments. Also easier to envision how decentralized platforms that enable creators to earn a larger share of platform economics are really the ultimate threat to FAAMGA and not competition or regulation.

The platforms used to capture all the value, but as their leverage decays, as social media stops being social, and as creators of more options to build their audiences the platforms will need to focus on building monetization tools for them. The future of media isn't social.

Network effects matter less than they used to. Especially as Social Media companies stop being "social." Most social platforms (SNAP, IG, YouTube) look more like media companies now - the content you consume is made by professionals, not your friends.
