If you are 'anti-imperialist' or whatever way label yourself and want to fight the literal systems that you live under, go to Lebanon and join Hezbollah. Iranians have made it clear, we don't want to be held hostage for your pipe-dreams. We are sick of being held back and made poorer every day for failed ideologies. This MIGHT lead to peace in middle east, might not. The US and Israel have happened to be aligned with the goals of the Iranian people. As long as Khamenei was alive, there was no chance of any change. The country is riddled with issues. From water mafia to narcotics, from the entirety of the government in control of IRGC to sham elections with less than 20% participation. From murdering civilians with DShK on the streets to jailing the hospital staff that tried to help the injured protesters and now sending them to their death sentences. From mass graves in 80s to continuation of Iran-Iraq war just for an old-man's wet dream of reaching Jerusalem. We are sick of it all. We tried to change the regime through civil movements, we tried to do it through elections. We tried to protest. NONE of it worked. We are not stupid. There is a glimmer of hope now. And you, sitting in the comfort of the very same systems that you criticise having the illusion that you know what oppression means, you are spoiled!

The difference is by design.

@IAmYourIntifada @AssalRad If you genuinely wanted Palestinians free you'd be on the side of Iranian people. But you're blinded by your hatred for Israel. I want nothing but peace and self-determination for my people, Iranians and also Palestinians.

@mattmoses @ForrestPKnight @davidtsolheim I have no issue with hallucinations. It's important you ask the questions right, and don't expect AI to produce new stuff. Also has to do with the model. I use agents in IDEs, which have all the info they need nowdays.

Honestly, Ben Affleck actually knowing AI and the landscape caught me off guard, but as a writer, makes sense. Great takes across the board.

not true. When you go from good, to expert it's harder and takes more time than from amateur to good. AI Is already in it's pre-expert era, and with 1 iteration, it improves across multiple fields. AI has 1 attribute only the most successful humans have, it's a polymath expert in many many fields. It will become very apparent in early 2027.

@davidtsolheim @ForrestPKnight but affleck's overall point here is that the notion that AI is going to replace humans--especially when it comes to creativity--is foolish and not based on current reality (meaning current tech and its trajectory).

@davidtsolheim @ForrestPKnight agreed setting up automations will be big, but so far that's been tough to implement, so it doesn't appear imminent (even with Claude's new platform). and setting up automations isn't really about the underlying models getting much better at this point.
