@ChloeCondon @Hackbright Most people I know have done income share agreements with the bootcamp where you don't pay until you're hired and earning a minimum base salary. I think this was/is @appacademyio's model.

How are people paying for coding bootcamps these days? (It's been a hot minute since I did @Hackbright 👵). Are there any cool programs or scholarships? I have a friend looking to make the career change from theatre to tech, and she's looking for financial assistance resources.

@tejask JavaScript may be able to read that token but it has to actually send it somewhere for this to be a risk. Unless you’ve downloaded some evil library that knows how to look up your exact key and send it to a no-cors evil server, this isn’t as risky as it appears.

Never store secure tokens in localStorage.

@wesbos @syntaxfm Nope. First of all, certifications can be from any number of for-profit training programs that may not be vetted by a neutral third party. Second, certifications usually don't tell me how you solve problems within a team under engineering constraints and that's typically the job.

Question for folks who hire developers. Do certifications mean anything to you? We're cooking up a @syntaxfm on this topic after a few recent twitter threads about them.

@syntaxfm was trying out the new Intl stuff and realized that browser support for some of the cooler stuff like ListFormat and PluralRules isn’t quite there yet. Particularly bummed about ListFormat - just had to format a list the old fashioned way yesterday!

@lucafusi I’m starting to think that with most art in general, it’s better to put off approaching it with a critical reading for as long as possible, especially when you’re in the middle of experiencing it.

@lucafusi I had the same reaction as you to Undertale at first until it broke through my cynicism. At some point I decided I wasn’t going to worry about categorizing its structural elements anymore because gosh darn it these characters have grown on me.
