Opposition Leader @PeterDutton_MP is actively calling for a boycott of @woolworths over its decisions to pull Australia Day merchandise from its shelves, despite the supermarket reporting a “gradual decline” in demand. “I would advise very strongly to take your business elsewhere…” Mr Dutton said in a 2GB interview, “…I don’t think they should be supported by the public.” The decision by Woolworths Group follows Kmart’s removal of Australia Day-specific products in 2022. Australia Day became a public holiday in all states and territories 30 years ago in 1994.
