Reminder: Corner radius is extra information that can be used to encode & signify something to the user. Sharp or Rounded buttons for e.g. can be used to encode 1-bit. If you need more bits, design buttons as distinctly different from each other as possible on color, texture, shape axes. Apple could use the window shape to signify it is a temporary popup or system dialog or whatever.
