Some of the comments I’m seeing about John Davidson because of his ticks at the BAFTAs are really disheartening to see. Perhaps people should actually watch the film about his life. Then they’d maybe understand that he cannot help what he says and it’s just as painful for him as it is for those affected by his tics

Except Mamdani is also pushing for a rent freeze, and most landlords rely on rent increases to pay for those repairs. So if they can’t raise rent and can’t afford to repay the city, they lose their buildings. That’s how you slowly turn private property into government housing.
