Phish will always be Phish no matter if the stage is a flatbed truck or a 16K marble. 9 nights, 0 repeats, 161 songs played. Well done @Phish👏 Now that the dust has settled and the visuals are burned into our retinas...what was the few songs or jams that rocked you?

@PFTCommenter Just go. They play live music. And the only band ever to play a different show every night. And - they’ll play 9 nights at @SphereVegas and never repeat a song. And longest touring band EVER wiry original members. It’s an experience. It’s a great ‘show’

President Trump’s Surgeon General nominee, Casey Means, stands as one of the MAHA movement’s most powerful evangelists. Her book Good Energy, which exposed the nation’s catastrophic decline in metabolic health, has become a bible for the MAHA movement. After graduating first in her class at Stanford Medical School, Casey walked away from her medical practice because she no longer wanted to be part of a sick-care system. She has committed her life to transforming American health care. By sabotaging this appointment, Bill Cassidy once again did the dirty work for entrenched interests seeking to stall the MAHA movement and protect the very status quo that has made America the sickest nation on earth. Casey Means will remain an important leader and a close partner as we uncover the root causes of the chronic disease epidemic and Make America Healthy Again.

@GippatheGoat @Espngreeny Well - if Gippa the Ghost says it, it must be true. Jordan is an icon and was a super hero in 6 seasons. LBJ’s greatness is underrated. Guy is 41 and on most nights, he’s the best player on the gym

@Espngreeny He has def played at a high level for a long time but there is no question his peak was never close to MJs peak. This is backed up by the eye test of me watching both play their entire careers and the numbers while they played.

I have no idea if LeBron can will this #Lakers group to three more, but it must be said that the level at which he is playing at age 41 is unprecedented. Whatever your perspective is on him, if you can’t appreciate this level of historical greatness I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s not that we don’t appreciate his level of play at his advanced age. It’s that we dislike what comes with it. Basketball fans dislike the flopping, the whining, the constant self-promotion and the decline in the overall quality of play. It’s not as black and white as you imply.

@hovah76 I hope Bronny makes it but he’s no JJ Reddick. As a FR at Duke, started 30 games, avg 15. 40% from 3’s over his college career. It took him a number of years to be a double digit nba scorer but he was always a near 40% in 3’s. Bronny had little history of success at any level.

@UltraRunnerPod It’s hard to believe how competitive all the schools are. Grade inflation is real. And - I really think the need to make standardized tests a requirement again. It’s proven to be a predictor in college success

I'd heard how crazy the college admissions process is, but now seeing it in reality has blown my mind. My kid has great grades (4.2 weighted) with a ton of APs, leadership ec's, a very solid athletic resume, parents paying cash, etc., all at a private college-preparatory HS, and she has basically no chance of getting into a UC or CSU for her major. Not sure what needs to be done, but this is crazy. 🙄😩

With all due respect, I have to disagree here, specifically with the discussion point that Ted Williams wouldn’t do well against today’s pitchers. If you’re going to put Ted up against Skenes, you have to give Ted all the resources of today’s game. Give him the physical training. Give him the nutrition. Give him the private plane. Give him all the doctors and sports medicine today’s hitter have. Starting when he’s 12. He keeps his hands, eyes and mechanics. Or Put Skenes on a 1941 regiment. No nutrition info. Teammates smoking on the bus and train. Sports medicine doesn’t exist. He has to go 8 in most games and complete many. He keeps his control and mechanics. I say 1941 Williams destroys 1941 Skenes and 2026 Williams handles 2026 Skenes at a time.333 pace.
SlabSquatch Sports Cards@WaxMetrix

Unpopular opinion: hitters in Major League Baseball have never been better. I don’t care if the league is hitting .233. The average pitcher today is magnitudes filthier when compared to 30, 40, 50 years ago. Even bottom tier arms are nasty. Drop today’s .240 hitter into 1990 and he’s hitting .300. Drop him into 1960 and he’s batting .350. If Ted Williams faced guys like Skenes, Skubal, McLean, Mason Miller, etc, etc, day in and day out, I don't think he'd be a .300 hitter. Batting averages didn’t fall off because hitters went downhill. They fell because pitching turned into a video game with the sliders all the way on max. Today, guys have a lifetime of specialized training to dominate one or six innings at a time. Back then, some of these dudes would pitch 9 innings on Sunday then have to clock in for their shift at the steel mill Monday morning.

The saddest people are people who don’t like Bloody Marys. What’s not to like? V8? Lemon juice? Tabasco? Alcohol? Ice?? Maybe the greatest starting line up of all time. The sixth man on this team is worcestershire sauce, one of history’s most popular condiments.

@JoeSquawk Cmon @JoeSquawk - you’re adding to the gaslighting. Did Biden do a poor job with the economy? Did Covid - a major once in a lifetime event - make all numbers skewed? Is Trump failing to meet his promises about the economy? All those answers can be yes.

Do you need to know anything else other than real wages fell during the Biden presidency. Were actually lower when he left office than when he entered.
Charles Gasparino@CGasparino

Watching the progressive commentary over the @JoeSquawk - @PeteButtigieg spat is enlightening because it shows how little the left knows about economics, or understands economic history. Buttigieg is literally taking credit for bringing the RATE of inflation down by the end of the Biden presidency, ignoring the fact that he RATE hit 9% and prices remained elevated throughout the @JoeBiden years because of trillions of dollars in unnecessary fiscal stimulus and Fed money printing. Prices NEVER came down; it's one big reason @KamalaHarris lost (that plus the Dem Party believes men can be women and women men, but I'll save that for another posting). @realDonaldTrump inherited those elevated prices. He also grew the economy without a massive uptick in inflation. Ok the war will have an economic impact, but the people who think this guy "won" an argument about inflation really need to take econ 101. Also where was Pete during the supply-chain crisis? Paternity leave? What a joke
