An animation of Jupiter from 2021-08-04. This shows an eclipse happening on Jupiter as its moon, Io, passes between the gas giant and the sun. Io is visible to the left of the moon at the start as it begins its transit and its shadow moves across the cloud tops of of Jupiter!

This is my Eclipse image. We took the kids and drove up to Hueston Woods State Park. I forgot a few bits so ended up mainly shooting with my X-T30 and XF70-300 (used from @Lensrentals ) on a plain tripod. This is one stacked set of bracketed images.

Eclipse 2 of 3 Here are closeups of the eclipse as shot through my 150-600mm lens. While I used my 400mm telescope for capturing images in 2017, this time I used it for visual observations which was INCREDIBLE. I couldn’t believe how bright the Corona was in the eyepiece!

@ChargePointnet @dominos Found a chargepoint location at a hotel. Looks like DC Fast charging isn’t working for my Model 3 but AC charging is. We will at least get some sleep in a bed and should be good to get home in the morning. Need to schedule service. 😔

113k miles. 5 years. Car won’t charge tonight and we are out of town. 😔 waiting on roadside quote for a tow.
