GOOD NEWS: A Senate subcommittee voted to pass by indefinitely THREE transgender athlete bans. We're one step closer to these bills being gone for good! Over 3,000 emails were sent to committee members opposing these harmful bills! #TransYouthBelongVA

Republicans just killed a bill saying you can’t ban books solely on the basis of protected class. These book bans were never about sexually explicit content. They’re about censoring whose represented in our libraries.

The House K-12 subcommittee voted down a bill to let high school students know their Title IX rights after asking whether Title IX covers gender identity and sexual orientation. No one spoke in opposition to the bill.

It's disheartening to see our leaders propose horrifically anti-trans legislation. Tens of thousands of Virginia students walked out in September for Queer rights, and we're ready to make sure our voices are heard in the upcoming legislative session.

Happy international asexuality awareness week! Often referred to as the invisible sexuality, asexuality describes a person who feels little to no sexual attraction. Join us this Tuesday to learn more about asexuality and then a round of tea and hot chocolate!

In the last week alone, 12,000+ students walked out of 100 schools and 50,000+ comments, most of them opposed, have been submitted on the DOE's website. It's clear that Virginia isn't behind the DOE's hateful guidelines- and we're going to make sure our leaders know it.

The student voice is clear: we don’t want @GlennYoungkin to politicize our education and use our community as a political pawn. Students know we can build affirming schools that let all thrive.

We are appalled by the Virginia Department of Education’s model transgender policies. Not only do these policies erase non binary students and revoke rights from trangender students, they also allow parents to remove their child from counseling without the child’s consent.
