Ceasefire's barely 24 hours old, and Israel (our greatest ally) is already blowing it up, literally. Largest coordinated strike on Lebanon since the war began. But sure, another masterclass in negotiation from the guy who threatened to wipe out an entire civilization the day before. Stable genius stuff.

@EmmanuelMacron The only way to do something is to establish no fly zone above Lebanon for two weeks so talks can go on. Many in the region do not want to see the peace.

I have just spoken with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. I expressed France’s full solidarity in the face of the indiscriminate strikes carried out by Israel in Lebanon today, which resulted in a very high number of civilian casualties. We condemn these strikes in the strongest possible terms. They pose a direct threat to the sustainability of the ceasefire that has just been reached. Lebanon must be fully covered by it. I reiterated the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and France’s determination to support the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to uphold the country’s sovereignty and implement the Hezbollah disarmament plan.

Extremists from all sides are against the ceasefire, they just want to see the world burn.

@cirnosad It actually takes time for orders to reach units operating in the remote areas of the country. Pakistani and Indian units kept firing artillery at one another for 12 hours after the ceasefire was announced last year.

Apparently there has been no exchange of fire between the US and Iran… Did the US abandon the GCC and Israel?

@WarMonitor3 Chain of commands to field operatives takes time. During the Pakistan and India conflict ceasefire was announced in the morning, and some guys in remote Kashmiri mountains were still firing artillery shells at each other till the night.

@ripplebrain It actually takes time to actually ceasefire after announcing it. It has to go through chain of command to field operatives.
