@justinbaragona No. You should provide context and tell the full story, not advance out-of-context, cherry-picked publicity for one network. I am certain if we beat FNC in one hour it’s unlikely you’d cover and if you did, you’d caveat with add’l info. 🤷🏻♂️

So I should just ignore that another network -- which previously only pulled in a small fraction of your channel's total audience -- is crowing on-air that they pulled in a larger overall audience than your 7 and 8 pm shows? Or at least find a way to positively spin this for CNN?

@justinbaragona Disappointing that a media reporter would share info without full and appropriate context. As you know it’s symbolic of Fox’s audience jumping ship. CNN was within striking distance of winning the entire demo for 8p. And solid number 2 for 7p. Do better.

More than one CNN staffer has told me that this is extremely "embarrassing" for CNN.

Newsmax is boasting on-air about beating CNN in two separate hours on Tuesday night.
I just can't see any way for Chris Licht or other higher-ups to spin this positively -- and this has to add to the consternation within the network.

I just want to say that Kaitlin Collins is doing an incredible job at FACT CHECKING Trump during the CNN Town Hall. She is calling him out at every single chance that she gets when he says something that is not accurate.
Collins has come equipped with all the facts and is ready in a split second once Trump begins to spread false information.
To those who criticized CNN, I think that they are doing a wonderful job at holding Trump accountable and letting the American people hear what he says but also hear the FACTS.

Chris Licht was brave to put on Trump in a Town Hall. He and his network were always going to be attacked for it from both sides. But the reality is Trump is the front-runner of one of the two major political parties and a former president. He should be treated as such.
