Stripe has closed my account after processing legitimate client payments for completed renovation work, and is holding over $10,000 of my funds until November 6, 2026. There is no known customer dispute, fraud claim, or complaint. The payment was accepted months ago, materials were purchased, and the work was completed. Now I’m being told my business is “high risk” with no meaningful explanation of why that was not determined when Stripe accepted the payment. I have repeatedly asked for a clear, transaction-specific explanation and a real escalation path. Instead, I receive generic replies while my small business is expected to carry the full cost of labour and materials for months. @Stripe @StripeSupport — please provide a substantive written response, explain the basis for withholding these legitimate funds, and identify a fair resolution process.
