28, i'm 34 now. i don't talk about it much but most days im semi-okay with the results. i know to get where i want to be i'll need surgery, lots of them. other days i just go down this dark hole of not having been born a girl. idk. mixed feelings? i guess?

I’m a therapist. Clients come in with self diagnoses all the time. Their self dx is supposed to be an invitation to a discussion. A time to gather info in an unbiased manner from the patient
You don’t live in their bodies. You actually need their input for a proper diagnosis

I'm not gonna lie, it is frustrating when you ask a patient what's wrong and they just give you a diagnosis. Like "I have a chest infection". OK, you're probably right but I need to know your symptoms to see if I agree with that diagnosis. I can't just take your word for it.

HI so this is such an interesting topic to me,, the formation of DID is correlated less to the severity of trauma and moreso with an unstable or volatile family system. In fact, emotional neglect, moreso than any other form of abuse, is the biggest predictor of DID

"how much trauma is required to form DID" becomes a lot harder to answer when you remember that the people forming DID are 6 years old so naturally everything is terrifying

@djswampboiMD last year i switched doctors after her stunt w/ the "heds is just a tiktok disorder to be trendy" bullshit who refused to even assess me and told me that there was no way to test it except for expensive genetic testing (she knew i was poor) so hey. heres hoping lmao

@melodromacy that's what I get like when I'm at the 'entire lower body covered in lidocaine patches' portion of the year, I feel you in a sense. That's so much pain to deal with so young though, I truly hope somebody who knows wtf they're doing crosses your path and gets you what you need

@BRATZULA i have avascular necrosis in my hip and i was ignored for so long by my doctor who literally did not give a shit about my pain that by the time it was discovered i have a rotting femoral head it was too late to reverse the damage : ) so. word.

@melodromacy 😳 my fucking god, I'm glad you survived that. if you did more than hate her I wouldn't blame you. I have neuromusculoskeletal issues that involved several bouts of 6 week bedrest complete w bedpan + lifelong care. I can only imagine dawg 🫂 Malpractice aint strong enough a word

@melodromacy I love how people can just *literally rot* and not be taken seriously, while simultaneously there's currently a bunch of doctors on twt yelling about how dumb and hysteric their patients are if they DARE suggest a diagnosis or a test without it being the doctor's idea. <3<3

My m*m just gave me a New Fear so I gotta tell u too; Apparently her upper jaw has been ROTTING from infection to years until it turned black, except that none of the dentists she's been to (she has great teeth so A LOT) ever noticed it.

@bluegerberas people are cruel as fuck to fat kids and it pisses me off so bad. like there were people laughing at and dismissing tyre's death in 2022 because he was a tall fat boy. he was a 6'5", 300+ lb. kid. he was fucking 14, dude. he was just a boy. all he wanted to do was be a kid too.

@GR4VASTAR_ @BRATZULA Prednisone is what caused mine. It seems to be linked to AVN in some way. I took Prednisone twice - once for unexplained hives, and once for when every muscle in my back locked up all at once and i couldn't get out of bed.
