At UFC Freedom 250, the Canadian national anthem was played with respect. On July 1, 2026, the USMCA joint review deadline arrives. Failure to secure a clean extension will spark major economic uncertainty and put over 2.5 million Canadian jobs at risk. We should take great embarrassment in Carney and Ford’s masterclass in unnecessary escalation. Threatening to shut off power to US homes, pulling American alcohol off shelves, running the ill-fated Reagan ad campaign, flip-flopping on the DST, cozying up to China on EVs, and endless attacks on our biggest customer, the one country that buys over 75 percent of our exports. Time to wake up Canada.

@sarobertson_ With Premier Smith visiting MAGA people, so many links between Alberta separation & US MAGA, Con MP courting Vance, PP gaslighting - all this adds to a US-led campaign to destabilize Canada and the Canadian federal gov.

@AdamParkhomenko If he wasn't prez, he would not get away with talking over people the way he does. He agrees to interviews, especially with women journalists, because he feels free to insult, be aggressive, and talk over them. No sense giving him exposure which only gives sound bytes to MAGA.

“As a natural-born Canadian citizen, my loyalty is to the United States.” This is where the cheapening of Canadian citizenship has taken us. Someone who holds Canadian citizenship, but openly declares loyalty to a foreign state, and advocates for the destruction of Canadian sovereignty. This is absurd. If @arjunswritings had a shred of honour, he would renounce his Canadian citizenship. And if Canada believes citizenship has any meaning, Parliament should amend the Citizenship Act to allow for the revocation of citizenship from those who have renounced their loyalty to Canada.
Arjun Singh@arjunswritings

Canada needs to join the United States. Here’s how it could realistically happen. @USAmbCanada, the U.S. should extend an offer to Alberta to become a territory with a pathway to statehood, should they vote in a referendum to leave. Under Canadian law, the “Reference in re Secession of Québec” (a ruling by Canada’s Supreme Court in 1998) means that an Alberta referendum vote on a clear question, with a clear majority to leave, would be binding on the Government of Canada. Alberta is an excellent candidate to join the union. They have vast reserves of oil and natural resources. Culturally, they are identical to the American West — in tradition, religion, and values — as well as different from the rest of Canada. They feel contempt and alienation from the rest of Canada, because Ontario and Québec dominate at Alberta’s expense. All that @realDonaldTrump has to do is release a TruthSocial post that reads: “Alberta, if you vote to leave Canada, we will welcome you to America with a pathway to statehood.” That’s enough. Alberta hasn’t voted yet because, independent from Canada, there is no good economic option for them. Joining the United States would give Alberta the option necessary to proceed. If @POTUS acquires Alberta, he will have expanded the land territory of the Union more than any president since Thomas Jefferson. He will have changed the literal map of America that is our conception of this country. That’s a great legacy, especially for a real estate man as president. Not to mention, in that land he will have acquired billions of dollars in energy reserves and untapped critical minerals. As a natural-born Canadian citizen, my loyalty is to the United States. I know that the only hope for Canada’s success is the United States. The Canadian state is mediocre and provinces will be forever trapped beneath its glass ceiling. By contrast, America has infinite opportunity and empowers its people, which would enrich Canadians holistically. Joining America would remedy a mistake that George Washington in 1775 sought to correct. It would be the greatest union in history.

"The genie is out of the bottle, it's not going back in." Mitch Sylvestre was asked on Global News Morning if he'd accept the results of a no vote and stop the separation fight in that case. He says he might- that it depends on a lot of things- but adds but that the movement won't stop. FULL INTERVIEW: globalnews.ca/video/11886962…

@SandraCobena_ Enough PC BS ! Germany had two quarters of decline, Japan narrowly avoided a tech recession, UK seems ok ? France is flat, Italy slowed. The next quarter will show a battered world economy 'cause of Trump's war of choice. That's that pic !

🚨Tariffs? Every G7 country faced them. 🚨Global uncertainty? Every G7 country faced it. ‼️Recession? ONLY Canada. The Liberals can blame the world all they want, but Canadians know that $20 billion in investment has left Canada under Mark Carney’s watch. Canada deserves better. #cdnpoli

Watching Carney and Poilievre go at it in Parliament is starting to feel uncomfortable. Not in a dramatic way, just in the way it feels when someone is clearly out of their depth and keeps pressing anyway. Carney knows the file. When he answers, he answers the actual question. He doesn’t need to perform outrage or repeat a catchphrase three times and call it a rebuttal. He just explains things, clearly, because he understands them. Poilievre comes in loud and confident, same as always, and that works great on a campaign trail or a Facebook video. But in a room where the other guy actually knows what he’s talking about? The gap shows. Every time. The frustrating part isn’t even the politics. It’s watching someone confuse intensity for competence and expect nobody to notice the difference. People notice. This stopped being a left vs right thing a while ago. Now it just looks like one guy who did the reading and one guy who thinks he doesn’t have to.

@sarobertsonca Trump is actively trying to destabilize the Canadian Government with his latest attacks. He's hoping to divide to conquer: PP would not know how to pull the levers of economy the way PM Carney does.
