@TolarianU The again, I don’t think dice cheats are really happening on magic at any noticeable scale, and the easiest/most fun method can be used. High roll and tying is fun! You can also just use the same die your opponent did after their roll 🤷‍♂️

@TolarianU To eliminate possible dice cheating, you could have both player roll a dice, and if both are odd or both are even A starts and if different, B starts. That makes so players can’t cheat, because they would not know in which direction

Odd/Evens is the same with 1 or 2 dice. Highroll is fine but wastes time ?% of the time. Calling a judge because you can't choose a randomized way of choosing who goes first is cringe. We're (mostly) all adults here guys can we please just play magic.

I know this is laughable but I'll share anyway: I finally hit 400 in Chess I know that's terrible, but this is with 0 prior knowledge, guides or research, just playing for fun when I have a spare 20 mins and figuring things out myself. I prefer playing "blind" like this

@Ultimate__Ace @HeezyGame Double Grazer into Double crumbling vestige 4 land scapeshift is perhaps the „cleanest“ solution, one grazer double scapeshift also gets there some amount of the time, vestige is really good for that two mana without going down a land. Aftermath analyst in hand als helps

@HeezyGame @Ultimate__Ace Pact grazer, 3 Land 2xscapeshift with analyst in Hand is deterministic. Can even optimize for MTGO and play something that goes quick. Thinking first scapeshift finde deeps(vestige) + woodlands + mirrorpool, second finds lotus lotus tolaria west.

Currently over 30 min in discussing and actual turn 2 kill with amulet with just 1 amulet and have to take a bathroom break I can’t believe they didn’t ban this And no I am not exaggerating

@MartinJuza One of my favorites of the judge tower, while complicated I feel like it’s fair. Sometimes trips people up you can cast this and have it not do anything.

@PleasantKenobi Same with the whole "Wizards prints certain chase uncommons less" discourse when fatal push was released. Got so bad we even had the big stores pitch in, those that open like 10+ cases and say that yes, all uncommons get printed the same amount of xD

@KingGoldDork Malevolent Awakening. Cat has 9 lives, 3 of those you can use for anything, 6 sack it to Phyrexian Altar generate mana for the awakening and recast. If you have a way to drain life from people you can do it cheaper with Phyrexian Reclamation instead of MA

@Trantigone This is what gets me the most, the fact that the situation happened in its completion, and then after the fact there was judge intervention. „Leave as is and don’t intervene“ seemed a really clean solution here. As did „lecture the players, no penalty“.

@Trantigone I can somewhat get behind that reasoning, but to me it really sounded more like a concession by Nicole if anything. In any case, the punishment for saying „sure“ to something that sounded fine and you didn’t think mich about as you were planning your turn, seems much too harsh 🤷‍♂️

like you’re playing for an invite at an event with cash prizing, I would expect the judges to not let ppl arbitrarily decide who wins - if nicole wanted to make that decision, she could’ve waited for her draw step, and the guy could’ve and should’ve said no
