@ShadowofEzra Ha. Ha. Ha. I guess this means there are no rebates of any kind coming back to the average American citizen. No, in fact, we’re gonna squeeze you more.

Lindsey Graham says he will force Americans to pay for the new White House ballroom by introducing a bill that would authorize $400 million in U.S. taxpayer money. He says that underneath the ballroom there will be a lot of “military stuff.” “The sooner we get the ballroom built, the better it is for the country.”

@walterkirn I am genuinely curious about his Amtrak experience. My parents took a trip from California to Michigan once. It was so long and their train was hours late.

The reason many of you think you know that Cole was a lone nut radicalized by media etc -- and NOT part of a wider plan -- is that your prejudices were affirmed in exactly the manner described below. You leapt at the seductive caricature of a misguided BlueSky super user. Warned you.
Walter Kirn@walterkirn

There will come a moment in this drama when your deepest prejudices and suspicions are confirmed. Put that moment inside a glass bubble and hold it at arm's length. Turn it to one side, then the other. Examine it as a kind of alien artifact. Do not identify with it.

@clif_high Real question here for you and @1HeidVandenberg Do you ever notice other maybe unknown varieties growing as well or only the mushrooms that are supposed to grow? I’m interested; yet this is my first time question. Thank you!

you kids will need this info this Fall and into 2027. Bioengineering your own diet, growing all the expensive stuff at home, even with a surplus for trading. i have gotten Heidi eating a bit more proactively here. Shiitake, and Oyster mushrooms saute'd in real butter til just a bit crispy....as an every day dinner addition. For crunch, for flavor, for your nutritional pharmaceutical needs = anticancer... vitamins...and other benefits. Research.. Grow these at home in shroom bins in the kitchen. i just harvested two dinners from the shiitake bag and you can't see where. Very prolific. All these inoculated bags are great producers. The log will go for years. Expose to cold to restart at your schedule. The other sack is Lion's Mane. Research that.

@richardmcarr60 @sfliberty I’d add E.M. Forster’s The Machine Stops, a short story from 1909. An easy read in an evening. Bradbury’s line fits Forster perfectly. He was not describing the future, he was also warning against it. His warning aged into something closer to documenting our present world.

I remember reading both 1984 and Brave New World and being struck by both the similarities and the differences. I do not remember knowing of the student teacher relationship between the two authors. Ray Bradbury in the forward to Fahrenheit 451 said “I don’t try to describe the future, I try to prevent it”. That seems an appropriate description of all three authors.

Four months after George Orwell published 1984, his former teacher sent him a letter. Aldous Huxley had one message: you described the wrong dystopia. 🧵

Having spent decades in politics at the highest level....I know a total hit piece when i see it.....have done a couple in my time, not for my guy because he was awesome, but on others..... That WSJ article is a complete and total "pull the rip chord" by people closest to Trump....it is all over...Trump is over, lame duckery in full effect, MAGA is infighting and that is hilarious Hey, former staffer of mine @StevenCheung47 how come you have nothing to say?

@s00pcan @johannesmkx Interesting! Your handwriting suggests you are a forward thinker. You don’t tend to obey categorical boundaries while you flow with ideas linking quickly into related ideas. You don’t like to waste resources, time, or unfinished thoughts. I’m out of space now :)

In primary school, I was taught the Palmer Method cursive writing script. But in adulthood I became a bit upset when I discovered that I wasn't taught Spencerian Penmanship, which is a superior script. Palmer Method is a simplified version of Spencerian. I chose to teach myself Spencerian and I'm quite happy now. 😂

@zemacplayer @Jacohobo01207 @patriottakes Exactly. Those McDonald bags did have the security stickers along the top of the bag but there was no identifying barcode sticker specific between the restaurant and DoorDash. I’ll add a representative photo for example.
